LOVED this top
This top was the PERFECT fit for me, I might buy it! Paired it with black jeans and booties. I wore a nude bra and it was unnoticeable. I'm 5'7" athletic 148lbs, 32DD, 29" waist and the 8 was great! The bottom ruffle isn't lined, so be aware that your midriff is somewhat exposed, but didn't look tacky at all.

So many compliments!
LOVED this top! Paired it work leather pants and booties for a NYC wine event and received compliments all night long. I have broad shoulders and the medium was pretty fitted, but not too uncomfortable. The bust was about as tight as it could be for me though, no room for a bra, but didn't really need one bc it was right enough to hold me up. I'm 5'7" athletic 148lbs, 32DD, 29" waist and the medium fit like a glove.

Perfect date dress! RUNS SMALL
LOVED this dress! I stuffed the sleeves with towels overnight (thanks to the reviewer who left that tip!) and it helped loosen up the upper body, which also stretched it and became more comfortable. The waist and hips fit well, maybe even had a little room to give. I'm 5'7" athletic 148lbs, 32DD, 29" waist and 40" hips and wore the Large.

Pretty, but went with a different dress.
This was my backup style dress, and I ordered a 12L bc the 10L wasn't available, and after checking the Marchesa Notte sizing chart (found a Neimans). I figured the 12 would be better anyway bc my bust measures at 39inches at 4 months post partum and don't really know my current size, but I'm usually a 6. Overall, it's a beautiful gown, but was too big for me. I could've made it work if I had to, but it wasn't as good as the other option. It was, however, very lightweight and comfortable. My current measurements are 39-33-41 and I think the 10 would have been better, and the 8 possibly best if it was fitted enough to help hold everything in place.

So many compliments on this dress!!
I wore this to a NYE Gala and it was perfect! I'm 4 mos post-partum and it hid my poochy belly and held in/up my 32J/K boobs without a bra!! I'm normally a size 6, but have no idea what size I am right now. I ordered the 8L and 12L (the 10L wasn't available) and ended up wearing the 8L. My current measurements are 39-33-41 inches and it fit like a glove. It was snug around my ribs, but not too tight in the chest, so it was perfect to go without a bra, I just stuck some nursing pads in there and was all good. Obviously, the hips have plenty of room, and my waist wasn't cinched bc it hits a little higher than natural waist, but not quite empire. I'm 5'7" flat footed, and wore 3-4 inch heels. There is a bit of a train in the back so I had to be mindful of people stepping on it, but I didn't have trouble walking around.
