Rented this for a wedding. Ended up going with a different dress, but will definitely order this one for a different event. I LOVED it. I ordered a size up because this cut is usually too tight on my huge hips and others mentioned a tight ribcage. It fit in the hips with a little extra room, debatably enough to wear my normal size. The ribcage is supposed to be fitted and it has some mild structure rods just below the breasts. With sizing up, I think it took away from the look, but still looked nice overall. I am normally a solid size 14 and follow recommendations for sizing up/sizing down. I think you could wear your normal size or size up with one.

Only complaint is non-adjustable straps and you really have to mess with the top a lot to get it to work. I don't mind cleavage at all, but something about this didn't quite work well. Otherwise, much more stunning in person. I ordered a ton of dresses, and ordered this one as a 'safe' option. I ended up going with this one because it was so much less bland in person than expected. Very comfortable, flattering, fantastic color, I'm 5'6 and could have done with 1 in heals, but it still looked right. Tons of compliments and loved the way it hugged my giant hips/hourglass figure.

I ordered this as a backup and ended up not wearing it. I might in the future, though, for a different event! Runs slightly small, but debatably enough to have to size up. My wide hips keeps the slit permanently open, and I just would have rather it show a bit while walking instead of always type of thing. It still looked cute with how it was, but just felt it was showing too much at one time with the slit wide open for this particular wedding. Perhaps sizing up would have fixed this problem. The bodice fit perfect and it just has a great whimsical feel.

I actually should have sized down in this dress; there was gapping at points and it is extremely stretchy. Something like this that shows off my hourglass with a little shapewear to smooth things out usually works great, but I just felt like a whale in it. Other mermaids have worked; just not this one for some reason. It would be very comfortable for a night of dancing, though! For length, I could have worn 1-2" heals at 5'6".

If you have larger arms/broad shoulders, this might be just slightly uncomfortable. I ended up not wearing it, but could have. LOVE the pattern and the fit of the rest of the dress; a little room, but came in at the right places.

My normal size is 14/XL, and I'll usually size up/down if others suggest it (though, sizing up is normally because of my hips). Other reviews suggest sizing up for this one, but I think my normal size would have been better. Still very cute. I have wide hips and feel like there's room for days in this dress! For length, I'm 5'6" and love mini dresses like this because they fall right at mid-thigh for me. A bit busty for my norm, but fun for a one time rental :)

Size up! I ordered one size up and it was a perfect fit. Bust was snug with 36C; great for me, but might be iffy if you have a larger chest. Could be worn without a bra (no bra build in, but it was snug enough). I wore one because mine are... not symmetrical in size lol. Form fitting, but didn't show off my belly somehow. Only complaint is that when you sit, the buttons around my hips/butt stretched and showed some gaps. Could be worn for everyday, vacation, or a date. May or may not rent again!

This is just such a fantastic dress. I'm an hourglass figure and this cut just compliments it so well. The real stand-out part, though, is the vibrancy of the colors that doesn't come out in the pics. Beautiful! Very lightweight and perfect mid-thigh length. Only complaint is the top is a little large for me c cups and a little tape was needed. A very mild complaint considering the rest of the dress! I rented this for my bday dinner, but am considering wearing it to a cocktail wedding since my first choice dress for that didn't work out at all.

This dress would be okay if there was something keeping the bust together other than the criss cross straps in the back (which are too thin to provide support) and if the cups could sit right. I'm a C cup and while they fill it nicely while I held the dress in place, I couldn't adjust the straps in the back to hold it in the right spot. The slit is also not very visible while walking. LEAST favorite rental from RTR! Didn't wear.
