I tried this on months ahead of time at the showroom in SoHo. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Sandy, RTR was unable to send this actual dress and sent me the gold sequin version instead. I was disappointed because this dress was so flattering, particularly the color which looked great with my dark hair and light skin. I appreciated RTR sending me an alternative, but unfortunately the gold sequin was not appropriate for my event. I ended up buying a similar dress, and RTR was kind enough to reimburse me for my order.

I wore this dress to an evening wedding and overall was happy with the look. I was shocked by how small the 0 was (I am pretty tiny and it would not even go on!) so I ended up with the 2 which fit fine. The color was beautiful and paired very nicely with crystal jewelry that reflected the blue. The length was also perfect for me - short enough to show off my legs without being inappropriate or too short to sit down. I wish the dress had a little more structure to it - I had to wear a very padded bra to give it more shape, because despite the boning it's pretty thin and shapeless. Fine if you are comfortable with your body, but probably would not recommend for someone who's trying to hide things.

I LOVED the way this dress fit me, but did not end up wearing it because it was more "cutesy" and I wanted a sexier look for an evening wedding. Being petite and slim, I was concerned that the ruffle might overpower me. It was definitely very large, but not too completely overpowering. I was also pleasantly surprised that the shoulder was not too large, as I usually have that problem. The waistline tapered at my natural waist and was very flattering. I hope that I have an occasion like a shower to wear this dress to in the future!
