Festive sparkles and a goddess-like drape
I was 5 months pregnant at the time, and the cut looked forgiving, so I just sized up 1 size (to 10 from my usual 6/8). It worked--but just barely. There is an inner lining that is more fitted, so I probably would have been more comfortable in a 12. I also had to use quite a bit of fashion tape at the bust to hide my bra. Overall, though, the dress was great for the theatre premiere I was attending.

PROS: Lots of compliments; no one else had anything like it; festive CONS: heavy fabric was a bit too much for a summer wedding; for my long legs, the length was a teeny bit short (had to be vigilant on the dance floor not to dance too wildly); also, it WORKED for a May wedding, but the look was overall wintry/holiday
