I loved wearing this dress! It was something different and worked perfectly for an early spring black tie wedding. The dress was snug in all the right places (under the arm, waist, bum) and being able to cinch it with the belt made the fit extra-perfect. I love Alice Temperley's feminine, sophisticated and fun silhouettes. All-around winner.

I wish I could have worn this dress! It fit great, but I think I was one of the very first to rent it and it hadn't been hemmed yet. Even with my giant 4.5 in. heels (making me nearly 6 ft!) it was just way, way too long. My first-ever misstep with RTR, who was fantastic and refunded the whole order.

I must say, this dress was my first RTR disappointment. I guess it's my own fault for not checking the material, but I was expecting a satin and it's actually a very heavy, corrugated cotton. It felt and looked like a bridesmaid dress and didn't really feel appropriate for the evening wedding I was hoping to wear it to. I own a Zac Posen dress (this is Z Spoke, his lower-priced line) and mine is a little tight in the bust, so I got a 4 and a 6, but BOTH were too big. The waist in this runs large and even though the 4 probably would have stayed up on me in a strapless push-up, it was not flattering at all because the waist just wasn't form-fitting enough. I also think it would be more appropriate for a daytime event.

I loved wearing this dress! I didn't realize in the RTR photos that the entire rust red design is actually made of matte sequins. It's beautiful and unlike other sequined dresses I've worn, actually feels quite sturdy. The shoulders have lingerie straps to hold the underslip (and your bra) straps in place, which I love. The only slight issue is that the slip rides up just a tad and sometimes shows about 1/4 inch of leg behind you, just above the gold band. All in all this was a perfect party dress, really easy to dance in, and I felt great in it. Received many compliments!

When I was asked to wear purple to read in a friend's wedding, I knew this dress would be perfect. But as anyone with any kind of boobs can attest, going backless is a little terrifying. NuBra saved the day on this one. I found a style that looks like a regular underwire strapless bra, but has transparent super-stick sides. You could see the edges of them only very slightly when I moved my arms, but it was SO much more supportive than those stick-on cups. The NuBra stayed up all day and night (4pm - 1am) even as I got more than a little tipsy and danced the night away, and the dress looked great. Comfortable, easy, so cool from the back -- perfect for an outdoor late-summer wedding. Length was perfect on me with 3.5 in. heels.
