Very small waist
I'm size 12 and straight-ish/pear shaped so I sized up based on reviews. The 14 still gapped and pulled a bit at the waist. Unless you're extremely small waisted I would size up on this one, maybe even two sizes. Still might try re-ordering it 2 sizes up because it has the potential to be really cute.

It could have been nice but waaaay too small
I couldn’t button this up over my torso. And it was hard to peel it off my arms. The material is really nice though so I might size up and try again.

Nice and thick, holds you in, flattering
For a tight sheath dress this was pretty flattering even over my belly because it is a nice thick fabric that holds you in. Still wore SPANX but I could also see going without it.

I really really really wanted to like this one! Usually a huge fan of Rosie Assoulin and willing to take a chance on her weirder pieces because I often end up loving them. I got the 12 which is my usual size and it was a sad shapeless sack. Maybe would try again in a smaller size.

Straps WAY too long
All the reviews are right - the straps are way too long which makes the bodice look overly large and baggy. I tried tying the straps to shorten them (they are not adjustable) but it was too fussy and ultimately ended up not wearing. But the fabric was gorgeous and swishy and this could be great for you if you have a long torso

Usually I wear a 12; reviews said this runs small so I got a 14. It still gapped A LOT at the waist. I had to fix with tape and safety pin. After the fix it was wearable but not my favorite. Size up at least one size unless you have the teeniest waist.

Fits large all over which could be what you're going for. You could size down one for a regular fit or even maybe 2 sizes for a fitted look.

Showed all my belly bumps
In the process of having 3 kids I gained and then lost a lot of weight and my belly is flabbier than it used to be. The fabric in this dress is very thin and stretchy so it shows all the lumps and bumps. Also, the tie is very low across the hips and can't really be moved higher because of how it's designed, so instead of adding camouflage it adds emphasis to the problem area.

Flattering, fit well
I liked this dress for the most part; I have small breasts but there was no unflattering pouching up top like there is with some other dresses. It is very flattering and visually cinching on the belly, and it has snaps in between the buttons, so there's no risk of gapping - it's REALLY well made. One star off because it felt like the shoulders were slightly small (I never have shoulder fit issues with other dresses/tops!!) so if you have wide shoulders maybe go up a size.

Really trendy but good
My husband laughed when he saw me in this but sometimes you want to wear a man repeller fashiony outfit. As a fashion-forward woman, I loved this but it is by far the most exaggerated of the barrel pants that I have tried, so if I wore it with a trendy top it felt like too much. But styled with a classic top I love the sculptural shape it creates. I sized up because they didn’t have my size and was glad I did so because there’s no give in the waistband. The larger size is a little bit loose but I think the smaller one would have dug in when sitting down after a big meal.

I like renting the difficult-but-fashionable pieces that get low reviews in RTR and figuring out how to make them work. But this one was just. Too. Much. Or, actually, too little. There is too little fabric to work with because there is absolutely nothing at the sides to tape down, and I felt like I was one arm-raise away from a fashion emergency. Renter beware!

Looks great; very warm
Not too thick, not too thin, quite warm, very versatile. I wore it in mid-to-low 40s weather, once with a very thin cotton jacket over the top and once with the sweater layered over a denim button-down shirt. Both ways it was comfortable.

Very cute, slightly small shoulders
Looked a little odd at first but then I added a white polkadot belt and it looked fabulous. Mostly true to size except the shoulders were a tad tight on me - not too tight to wear, but tight enough that it was nice to take it off at the end of the night. If you are broad-shouldered you may find this uncomfortable.

Size down; not for petites
I’m usually a L and I ordered an M based on reviews. It was still big but stylishly so on my frame. However I could see this swallowing you up if you are shorter than my height (5’5”). It was EXTREMELY warm, almost too warm for the weather (mid-low 40s), and very heavy to carry through the airport. Would highly recommend for a med-to-tall woman in a very cold location, but if that doesn’t describe you, skip this.
