Adorable, fun, kitschy in the best sense of the word
I received so many compliments on this bag. It is shiny patent leather....shinier than the RTR photo. This is a good thing. It can pair with anything. I think it is the perfect compliment to the the Kate Spade Adette dress. I used the red accent on the "monopoly" car clasp as my accent color (red lips and nails with an otherwise black and white outfit). I would definitely rent this again and pair it with any monochromatic outfit (especially a bright solid color) to create a more interesting look. Also note, there is plenty of room in this little bag. Much more than your typical evening bag. I wore it with the shoulder strap for most of the time to keep my hand free. The car is silver (with a small pop of red) and the strap is silver chain. You will want to stay with silver not gold jewelry when possible.

Kitchy cute yet elegant.
Cute bag. Definitely great choice for anyone going to Prom. Not my usual style but paired this with the Kate Spade Adette dress it was the perfect "Girlie" look I was going for. This bag is a satin, slightly slouchy pouch with more room than you will usually get from an evening bag. It is not bulky though at all.

I recommend getting your size and one smaller for the back up. The slip that goes underneath is best as tight as possible. The outer lace dress should have some room or it will bunch up around the waste. I wound up not wearing this dress for several reasons so do not have a photo but a RTW stylist was on the phone in minutes helping me correct this situation. The V neck is very low. This would be better for someone with fuller breasts than I. It might also require a pin for a work related or conservative event. A night on the town or clubbing when a significant amount of cleavage is desired should be ok. For me it was just not flattering but I have a very straight figure.

Adorable!
This dress is perfect for a daytime party and can be dressed up with the right accessories for a conservative night time event. I wore this to a fancy Bat Mitzvah in a country club. It is just the right combination of conservative and sexy as the style pinches in your waste and the thick fabric hides any flaws. No need for Spanx with this one. there is not much give on this fabric. If you have a large bust I would recommend sizing up or not going with this particular style. The only con is if the thick cotton fabric wrinkles it is very hard to press and get the pleats perfect. My advice would be, if possible, slip it on right before the event and not take a 2 hour car ride in in on the way. Patent leather mary janes, suntan stockings with a bit of sheen and the the engagement ring kate spade purse or the black and white Kate Spade Checkered car purse are the perfect compliments (I've worn this twice). In closing, I did have some minor issues with the shipment and another dress I had rented for the weekend. A Rent the Runway stylist was on the phone immediately an walked me through it. I was left feeling completely taken care of and happy in what I was wearing. This is important, because any company is great when things go well. Given the world is not perfect, knowing that you are not left on your own if you make a bad choice or find an imperfection is priceless. I will be using RTR for a long time to come and recommending to my friends!

I often wear a large but was glad I got the medium with this dress. Knit is thick enough to hide imperfections but still form fitting and not bulky. just enough skin to be sexy yet appropriate for a work event. This dress can go from party to wedding with a change of accessories. Its a real winner.
