Perfect fit for women with hips and thighs--kicky skirt is very forgiving and hides this problem area. Note: Shapewear was a necessary evil to cover my mom tummy. For being short (5'2"), I loved how the trendy sleeves didn't overpower my frame (typically a problem with this style). There's balance with the arms and torso being so well fitted. I will rent this dress again.

During the reception line following the wedding ceremony, the first thing the bride said to me was, "The matron of honor and I can't get over how awesome your dress is!" The compliments continued from others throughout the night. The dress was extremely comfortable. The length (past the knee) made it a little tough to walk but otherwise, no concerns. As others mentioned: 1) the plastic boning had poked through the fabric (solved by pushing back into fabric and covering with fashion tape) 2) Bow falls in front (also addressed with fashion tape) I will rent this dress again.

I wanted to love this dress but ultimately the amount of fabric and the length was overwhelming on my 5'2" frame. The very comfortable dress hit below my knees, which was not complementary. The top also ran big, while the Waze fit perfectly which could be attributed to my pear shape. I also found the yellow undertones to be a poor match for my fair skin. This is truly a beautiful dress, but just not the right one for me.

I wasn't so sure about this dress when I ordered it but immediately saw tons of potential as soon as I unwrapped my RTR delivery. The fabrics are high quality and lay beautifully however the skirt lining did scratch and get caught on the tights I wore. The zipper has also pulled away from the lining, making securing the dress a near-impossible task. I also thought the pale pink of the skirt had looked like it had gone a few too many times in the ring and was ready for retirement. In spite of that, I would wear this unique dress again.

The flared skirt at the bottom made this dress so fun to wear. However, it was very fitted and I didn't feel it was completely appropriate for a work setting which is where I intended to wear it. I'm also pear shaped and found the top to be a gape a little while the bottom half was tight. Surprisingly, I also found the length to be abbot short on my 5'2" build especially with the skirt scooping up on the sides. Overall this dress is a stunning selection but a bit too body conscious for my needs.

Adorable dress that infuses fun into any party. The black tulle, drop-down "sash" reminded me of a modern day version of something Cyndi Lauer would have donned for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". The dress stood out at the cocktail-dress-attire fundraiser I attended where the room was overtaken by a sea of classic black knee-length numbers. Although a fit-and-flare style is usually complimentary on my pear shape, the bust still gaped while the skirt's pleats stretched too wide, sitting awkwardly across my hips instead of resting flat as intended. The zipper was also painfully challenging to close and required a way-too-creative maneuvering technique to secure it.

Celebrating a night out with friends, I rented this number to ring in the fall season. I took a gamble with opting for a leather dress (a fabric that's never been in my wardrobe) and surprisingly loved the easy comfort and smooth fit. The dress does hug curves but the modest cut made me feel appropriately dressed for my age and the venue. Being a pear shape, I found that the M fit better from the waist down, but the top was too large. In the end, I wore the S for a perfect fit up top and relied on shapewear to better present my lower half. I received unsolicited compliments on this sartorial selection from both men and women and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

Channel old Hollywood glamour! While wearing this evening gown to a temperature-toasty black tie summer wedding, I heard an ongoing stream of compliments from every walk of life--young and old, men and women, guests and non-guests. A friend who knew this was my first RTR experience is still trying to convince me to purchase this stunning number to add to my permanent wardrobe. No question that this dress tamed my problem areas--a pear shape plus a tummy earned from having two children. What amazed me was how this dress made my lower half an asset rather than a liability. While I agree with other reviewers that the fabric is high quality, I benefited from donning shape wear to keep my curves in check. I fell madly in love with this dress for a few reasons: a) it made me appear more statuesque than my true 5'2" (slipping on a pair of platform stilettos gave me the perfect lift), b) I was able to wear a regular bra without a sign of straps, and c) the solid column of color and the style's nips and tucks gave me the appearance of being long and lean. The only drawback for me was taking stairs or attempting more of a stride--the cut limits movements. However, I was able to hit the dance floor unencumbered. As other reviewers have suggested, for the backup size, order up. To sum up this selection, if you're a curvy lower-half lass like me, this dress will be your new best friend.
