I selected this dress for an afternoon outdoor wedding in Las Vegas and it was perfect! If you are attending an event where it will be quite warm, this dress is pretty comfortable and forgiving. I'm 5'8 and wore 3.5" heels. For my height and heel selection I'm glad I had the long - my backup size was a regular length and fell 1/2" above the ground when I was barefoot. The material is light and billowy - be careful on stairs and to gather the skirt in right away when you sit down or you will be tripped/stepped on by anyone within 3 feet! A strapless bra is needed with this dress. It's great if you are pregnant due to the high waist and flowing material - my 5 month baby bump was barely noticeable. I received many compliments, including one woman telling me I was the best dressed guest at the wedding! I can't wait to order this dress again in another pattern.

This dress is so amazing, it is probably my favorite rental to date! The material is like a wetsuit, which is great because it hugs you everywhere and gives some extra support. In some photos it looked metallic, but it is not - the design is printed on. I wore it the "correct" way - with the V in the back - and was able to wear a bra without it showing. I rented both the small and medium and could have gone with either size - there was almost no difference between how they fit. However, since I was wearing it for a work function and the medium was just a tiny bit longer I went with it. I was glad I did once I started walking, because it does ride up. I was pulling it down all night, but I loved the dress so much I didn't care! A lot of people have paired it with a necklace, but I just did big sparkly earrings instead because there is so much going on with the dress already. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone considering it.

I rented this purse to use for the week of my wedding. While it is very cute and was perfect for the occasion, there is no way I would ever purchase it. The little car latch on top had a hard time staying clamped, so the purse kept springing open - really not a distraction I wanted to be dealing with while I was trying to socialize with my guests. I don't know if this was poor design by Kate Spade, or maybe it was abused by previous renters. Either way, it was disappointing, but it did look great in photos.

After renting another dress that did not work out, I ended up exchanging for this dress to wear to my bridal shower. When you first put it on it does resemble a tennis skirt, but that is a fleeting reaction, and likely one before you have accessorized it with the right jewelry and shoes. When I first tried it I thought "tennis skirt," but I had little choice at that point. However, after adding metallic heels, coral earrings, and a strand of pearls, this dress felt nothing like something I would wear to play tennis!... except that it was incredibly comfortable. The way it drapes is fantastic, it is so easy to move around in. There is a side zip on this dress, which I think makes it a lot easier to get into on your own. The waist was a little loose on me, but overall it still fit well and I received quite a few compliments on it. I love the simplicity of it: you can really dress this up or down, and I would definitely recommend it and wear it again. I think this cut would be flattering on just about any body type!

I rented this dress for my bridal shower and absolutely loved it. They did not have a backup size available for me to order, and I really could have used it because although the dress fit overall, the waistband was really tight over my ribcage - it took two people to close the zipper! A 6 would have been much better for me. My sister (usually a size 2) tried it on, and the size 4 was snug on her too. I know I could have asked for another style to be overnighted by RTR, but I loved the dress so much I couldn't imagine wearing anything else. It is very delicate and beautiful - I felt like I was wearing a watercolor piece of art and everyone commented on it. I chose gold jewelry to wear with the dress but you could do silver too. If you rent this dress you will not regret it (just make sure they have your backup size!).
