Simple and classy!
It was a little snug but held in all the right places! I wore it for a violin recital. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable so it was perfect for moving around! The lines also make it very flattering.

Was going to use it for a violin recital, but it didn't fit! Still a beautiful top.
This is a beautiful top - and it really looks amazing with the skirt! While it did fit, it was impossible to extend my arms in front of me, and so it would have been impossible to play violin in it, even in the size 6. It also bunches up a lot at the shoulders when you raise your arms. So beware! If you are just going to be at a dinner party and not moving much, you will probably be okay. But if you are dancing, you might find yourself busting out of it eventually!

Used the skirt (unfortunately not the top) for a violin recital!
Once it was a size up it was great! I am usually a 4 but both this and the matching top run very small. The fabric is not flexible. But it is a beautiful skirt! I wore it with a black tank top and it was just the right amount of dressy for a semi-formal event, like a violin recital.

Worn for a contemporary violin solo with orchestra and it matched the occasion perfectly!
XS fit me like a glove at the waistline and it didn't look baggy at all! Because my legs are short, it hung a little longer, but that was fine too. Overall, a very comfortable dress that I was very happy with! It didn't come with the belt (so be sure to check with the stylist about that) so I just went to a fabric store and got some pink fabric and my grandma made a quasi-cummerbund! I thought that the seam at the waist looked a little rough without it. NYC folks - Mood Fabrics in the garment district has every color and material imaginable!! I wore some plain black flats (I don't like to play in heels!) and I thought it looked fine! Would definitely recommend to anyone that's a musician looking to not play a solo in a ridiculous prom dress (I guess that's fine if you like that, though....)
