Too fancy for my office
This top is heavy weight and the fabric has a sheen to it. It's really beautiful. It was a tad bit too low cut in the neck and the sheen was a little much for my office so I didn't end up wearing it.

I didn't end up wearing this. The fabric was quite stiff which caused a ballooning effect, rather than draping in a flattering way.

not flattering if you have beefier arms
I wanted to try this because of its modesty with the high neck while being cool and comfortable and I wasn't a fan. Those arm straps were awkward and landed on my arms in such a way that it looked as non-flattering as possible. It was tight up at the top, but loose at the armpit and arm straps...so I'm not sure sizing down would have been an option for me.

back-up dress turned rehearsal/welcome party dress, cute and modest
This dress is quite forgiving fit-wise. I agree with another reviewer that the waistband felt a little snug when sitting down, but it hit me such that my muffin top and hips were hidden below the lovely skirt. I wore it without a bra (36C) because I prefer to not wear bras, but it would have worked with a strapless or halter bra. Some folks mentioned the dress being too long, but for me it was perfect. I am 5'4" and it came just below the knee (not quite tea length) and that's good for me as I don't like to show any thigh at all. Since I rented it for a back-up for the wedding and ended up wearing it to the welcome party, I dressed it down with strappy black sandals instead of heels and a leather Moto jacket. 5 stars for the dress itself, but for RTR: the only weird thing was that the zipper didn't lie flat on my back. It bubbled out a bit. Not a big deal for me since I wore the jacket most of the night, but it would not have been OK otherwise. Could be that the dress has been worn many times and the zipper is a bit wonky? No signs of wear other than that though.

Compliments all night
Received this as a backup when my original rental couldn't be sent to me...so it was a little dressier than I intended to be for a gala that's somewhat on the casual side....but it was gorgeous and flattering and I got compliments all night. It was more comfortable to wear than I expected based on how stiff the embroidery is, but I wasn't dancing or anything. Just walking around and sitting for dinner.

Definitely unique. Felt kinda badass wearing it.
Due to availability, I rented this at the lower end of my size range and it was still a bit big on me. Maybe because of the fabric or the cut of the collar, It strikes me a bit more like a tuxedo jacket than a blazer. So I was a little overdressed, but it wasn't totally out of place at my conference.

Really cool, comfy, versatile shirt - love stuff that's cute without baring a ton of skin.
Color was a little more coral than I expected - it looked more red to me on screen...but coral happens to be a really good color for me so it worked. Shirt was comfortable and flattering, but I'm glad where I wore it was humid. It was dry when I tried it on and static electricity made it cling to my stomach...however, with a bit more humidity it hung just right and looked great.

I was hopeful this dress would work because it looks like there's some space above the floor on the model, but alas it did not work for me, and the hem is too flowy to use hemming tape. The top was a little too heavy for my taste, such that it turned my nice 36C shape into a box.

Professional standout look with blackout tights, tons of compliments.
Rented this for a conference at which I was presenting. At 5'4" this dress showed less leg on me than the model, but I still wore blackout tights for comfort and professionalism. It fit me great at my usual size, but there was no extra room. Despite having no extra room, it was perfectly flattering. Would rent again.

This dress came off a little too pink and 80s for me in person and I didn't get that from the photo. It was too tight on my belly right where I have a bit of a pooch...such that I would have had to wear shapewear or suck my belly in all night. Maybe if I had a longer torso the tighter waist would have happened above that? not sure. Fabric was nice and flowy. However, if you are going to be outdoors for a windy event, I would steer clear. I walked by my HVAC vent and the top portion was blowing up and out in a not-so-flattering way.

Did not wear because it was TOO LONG for me at 5'4".
If you're tall, go for it. It's a gorgeous dress. At 5'4" I couldn't have even worn it with heels, and this dress hem is too flowy for hemming tape to work right. The fabric felt great, looked great, flowed great. The top was really comfortable without a bra, but my nipples showed big time texture wise (like wearing a neglige) and if I had tried on in better light, I am concerned the dark nipple would have shown through as well. The armpit plunged too deeply for a strapless bra, so would have to wear backless or petals. middle was comfortable and flattering. I think I could have sized down 1 size from my usual.

I know some ladies use hemming tape for this, but this fabric was too heavy for me to trust it to hold that much of a fold. Positive points for being really unique, slight negative for the fabric. I wasn't a fan.

Fliratious, flowy, multifunctional, comfy & wearable!
One of my favorite dresses of all time. As others have mentioned, the dress is very forgiving. I could have worn one size down and that is 2 sizes less than I typically wear in dresses these days. I tried wearing the sash as it is pictured on the model and it kept coming loose. I noticed a few of the "real" folks wearing it looked like they tied it somehow in back. When I got home, I played with tying it in the front like a necktie, but it stuck out a little too much. I ended up dressing it down with cute sandals (I know! sinful!) because my date was in from out of town without dress shoes, but it still worked great. It fell more mid calf on me at 5'4". Oh and, even though it was unnecessary (as others have said the straps would have covered a bra strap just fine) I wore it braless and it looked great (not obscene) and felt comfy. It's going on my "definitely would rent again" list.

Returned the dress without wearing it
I am 5'4" and this dress came down to just above my ankles. It was scratchy and uncomfortable immediately after putting it on. The horizontal stitching that separates the different patterns of lace creates these bubbles between them that despite constantly pulling the skirt down, kept coming up to create the bubbles. The way the breast is constructed it created a cone boob situation. I would not have been able to wear a bra because the size 8 would not have fit (I am normally 34C). Would not recommend it unless you are very straight-figured with no chest and very tall like the model pictured. Actually, I wouldn't recommend it at all because it was uncomfortable.
