Couldn’t get over the side-bulge

I’m between size 6-8, 143lbs today, 5’6”. This dress is thin, very shiny material, which didn’t bother me for a 40th bday party but it wouldn’t be formal enough for a gala. Another reviewer compared the fabric to gym/basketball shorts texture which is on-point. My biggest cringe is that… the elastic band is wide and not loose, so it made my skin bulge out of the cutout in a way that looked unflattering and felt uncomfortable. The only way to avoid this (if random side bulge is something you care about) is having nothing to pinch on your side body. If you can pinch *anything* on your right side, the dress is going do it too and make it stand out. Anyway, it isn’t a huge complaint, I really love the cutout trend, but this is the first dress I’ve tried on that had a full band of elastic. Not cute

Lovely LBD remix

Rented for 6pm wedding. Structured, elegant. Low V / cutouts / leg opening are bold, but they are balanced out by the length and 2/3 back (the long zipper also help everything stay in place). Fashion tape is a must. Also, it’s really long… I’m 5’6” and wore 3” heels so it didn’t drag on the floor. Like others mentioned, the sleeves sort of prevent you from waving your arms above your head, but want an issue bc we didn’t do the wave so nbd. I died down, wish I had rented the S instead of M & L (I just always assume I should size up). I’d rent again for the right event. 3 cheers for end-of-the-night bathroom selfie!

J’adore

I took a chance putting my mom bod in this bold dress… Sensational. Blue hue is elegant and stands out among LBDs. Surprisingly light/thin fabric, good stretch (no bulging), cutout is so forgiving which is counter-intuitive. I wore 8 instead of 6 because the back has no ruching and I didn’t want it to look skin tight. You can wear a normal bra, just make sure you are better than me at fashion tape! Length falls at/above ankles, so show off statement shoes (mine were gold).

Stunner

(Sorry for the awful picture!) I am 5'6" & 145 and pretty much a rectangle shape. I ended up wearing the L bc the M was just too tight and the back would've looked like I was Hulking out of it instead of a pretty "V" shape. The dress is stretchy so you can make it like a mini or push down to be more modest. It is lined so the sequins don't attack you. I wore this to a summer evening cocktail wedding reception and while the dress was more formal-leaning (ohhh the sequins!), I liked it.
