This runs very big in the top and has zero give in the waist. The size 12 fit better in the waist but the top was gigantic. The 10 was very snug in the waist and the top was still quite loose. If you have a larger chest you'll probably fill it out better than I did but expect to have a lot of cleavage. I'm 34C and I used a stick on bra to help fill it out then a lot of fashion tape to hold down the edges, otherwise I felt very exposed. The waist truly has no stretch at all. By the end of the evening my ribs ached. When I was standing it wasn't bad, but sitting down was quite uncomfortable. Overall, I just felt like this dress fit weird. With such a big difference between the waist and the top I obviously do not have the right body type, but there were other weird things like an extra pucker of material just above the waistband on my belly. For reference my measurements are 39-32-43. Also note that because of the open back it's difficult to find shapewear that works! On a positive note: the fabric is thick and feels nice & the pockets and wonderful!! If it fit properly it would be a great dress, it just didn't work for me.

As other reviewers have stated, the waistband is tight & does not stretch. The waistband hit perfectly at my narrowest spot (just below my ribs), but I still needed to size up to the 8 (I usually wear 6). The material on top & bottom is heavy, which was perfect for me since my shower was in November. It may not be very comfortable on a hot day though! The top is nicely fitted & forgiving, I loved the way it felt. The skirt is very heavy and has nice movement to it. The outer layer on the skirt has a nice texture to it, however I avoided wearing a bracelet because I was afraid it might snag. The pockets were an awesome bonus too!! Overall, I LOVED this dress! For best results: size up, don't wear it on a hot day & avoid bracelets :-)

This fits all my criteria for a perfect dress; comfortable, I could wear a normal bra (criss-crossed straps), loose bottom with lots of wiggle room, fun twirly skirt, & even a little extra space around the tummy so I could eat! As an added bonus the color was super fun! I wore the size 6. I usually need a 6 on top & an 8 on bottom but with the loose skirt this worked great! The fabric was a great balance of structured & stretchy. Not confining or revealing. Great dress!!

I ordered a 6 based on reviews & measurements plus an 8 for back up (my usual sizes). Normally a dress that doesn't fit me is too tight on the bottom, but not this one. I could barely get my arms/shoulders into the 6 let alone zip it all the way up! There is zero stretch to the fabric on top. Even in the 8 (which did zip) it felt tight & restricting. I'm honestly not sure if going up another size would have solved the problems. I think it just wasn't right for my body type. Other than fit it was a lovely dress, came on time & in great condition. Was disappointed it didn't work! Luckily my back-up did though (Shoshanna Judith in size 6).
