Form fitting and not good for any belly pudge
I read some of the reviews that said this was flattering and not form fitting. Completely not true. I was hoping for a looser fitting heavy material dress for New York, and this was not it. Definitely not forgiving even on the smallest belly pudge

Waist of the large is waaaay too small. The jacket fit great, if anything over sized. For reference I rented a size 30 jeans from citizen of humanity and could have even sized down one size if I needed to. Whereas, these needed at least 3-4 more inches to even sort of get them zipped.

The large is a small. The chest is 32" max.
I looove the print and the style. The pattern drafter forgot to size up for the large. The material has no stretch. took a measurement of the top part and, at the widest, the large is 32 in around/16 in laid flat. I shoved my 36 C's into it and actually managed to get it zipped with hubbies' help. But, it looked ridiculous (smashed boobs, and not in a sexy way). I'm guessing from the reviews the sm/med are sized correctly. But, if you have bigger than a 34B, you will not fit in the large.

Amazing dress. Wore it at least 4 times in the two weeks. This is a caftan. It’s supposed to be loose and flowing. You are definitely not supposed to be belting a caftan. I’m 5’8” and was the perfect height (mid calf, but with slits to keep it flowing).

dress is amazing. Recommend sizing down 2 sizes (unless you have a large bust). Doing so, made it look like the most modern take on a 50s dress. So much more adorable than in pic (which is an oversized look). usually love oversized look. But, this sized down to be more fit and flare was just gorgeous. Definitely keeping this one for more than a week even though I have unlimited. (Warning: don't size down if you're super curvy/busty. I'm a c cup and couldn't have if I was a d cup.)

Runs a little large, but is meant to be flowy not bodycon. Perfect dress for work to cocktails. Constant compliments. Beautiful orange color. Tailoring and construction of this dress is sublime. Contrasting pattern on cuffs and color. Perfect example of an expensively crafted garment.

Fashionable pretty mini dress
Sized one size up (what was available) and it fit. Could have done regular size and probably had similar fit, but would have likely taken a little sucking in to zip (zip is near waist, and near delicate fabric so sizing up ended up being nice to not worry about grabbing any delicate fabric with zipper) forgiving for small belly bumps. This is a mini dress I'm 5'8" for length reference. I wore with front a little open. Does tend to open a little in front, next time would wear black bra (wore tan and occasionally it would show slightly). The top is loose and flowy. Would rent again.

Wore an 8, and could have gotten away with a 6 and it would still be oversized. Nice material. Short. You definitely need to be prepared to be more high fashion sexy vs. Kardashian sexy for this dress. material was slightly warm, so wouldn't recommend on a super hot day, unless you're in air conditioning.

Living in this dress
Just rented this yesterday and have already worn it twice! Sizing is super forgiving. I'm usually a 10 but wore a 12--because of the elastic could have easily gotten a 10 or even an 8. Low cut depending on what size you get so be prepared for a low cut bra.

So adorable
Wore a size larger than usual (only one available at the rtr store). But dress is pretty forgiving size wise and was actually ok with it fitting slightly loosely. Still looked fabulous and can't believe it came with tags and got to wear new. I'm 5'8" and it was a shortish midi dress on me, maybe more of a maxi for some 5 or so inches shorter than me.

Beautiful color. Ridiculously small if you have any boobs. I'm a 36c (not super huge), and even though I could get it zipped (with some effort) the buttons all pulled because of breasts. I wear anywhere from 6 to 12 depending on designer and have straight up and and down figure (narrow hips) with medium breast size for reference. Seems like this would be best on someone with tiny waist and smaller breasts (though fit is open at hips so would probably work good for hourglass)

Sexy/Way better than the model pics
I was lucky to try this on at the local rtr store.--never would have rented it from the pics. Husband was there and eyes popped out ;) lowish cut. Pretty true to size. Soft, but some structure and well made. I wore a padded bra--is low cut and looks best when filled out, I'm a 34c. Super plus side--i has been sick, hadn't been able to work out for 2 weeks, have a naturally not flat tummy and was day two period (absolutely the most pudgy I've ever been in the belly) and it wasn't terrible!
