I love how forgiving it was in the belly area. I was able to feel sexy without having it be skin tight it runs a little short but it's not an issue if you're standing or you're sitting at a table.

The unique length made the dress. This was perfect for my cousin's June early afternoon wedding. It was just the right amount of sexy & classy. In terms of fit, I have a small waist & chest. I wondered if the 4 would have fit snugger. The 6 fit well but sat a little low on my shoulders, thus a little lower on my chest (A cup). A very minor fit issue. I still loved the dress and had no restrictions dancing!

I can see why the other ladies called it scuba material. It's not an ordinary fabric but that works in its favor. It kept its shape beautifully driving an hour to the wedding, sitting through dinner and hitting the dance floor. No wrinkles whatsoever! I'm a size 8/10 pear shaped gal with a small chest so the medium fit me well. A little short in the back but nothing scandalous. Two downsides of the dress: (1) There was quite a bit of fraying around the cutout details at the neckline. I spent time snipping away loose white threads (very obvious). (2) The second downside was the zipper was REALLY tough to move up & down and it wasn't because I was squeezed into the dress. I was so worried it would rip the dress I contacted RTR ahead of time to let them know it was a possibility. Thankfully it didn't rip or break and I had a great rental experience. O

I wanted to wow without being trashy - this was it! It looked great in pictures and I was able to dance (hands up in the air with some jumping to Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer - NJ's state anthem) with abandon. Fit details: - I usually wear and did wear the 8 which was a half size too big (waist area). I tried on the 6 but it was too tight. - As other reviewers mentioned the underlining of the dress does show when you sit down but nothing that can't be solved by simply folding it under the hem of the red portion of the dress. The only time it mattered was in the church. At the reception, it was a non-issue due to the tablecloths. - The pockets did cause a little bit of bulk in the hip area. As a pear shape, I'm hyper-aware of this part of my body. My husband assured me it wasn't bad but I was sure to pose on the side in photos to be sure I didn't obsess over it after the event. - I wore gold jewelry and adobe (beige) shoes. - I went with red nails and it complimented the dress nicely (not too much red).

Everyone asked where I got my dress and I was happy to tell them Rent the Runway! It was a great way for me to have fun (color and one shoulder) with a dress for my friend's wedding without making the commitment to buy it. As for fit, it does run large. I'm typically and 8/10 and could have gone down to a size 4. The 6 worked but was a bit loose in the bust (of course I'm a size 36A so if you're bustier, you might stick with one size smaller). Dress was lightweight for a summer wedding and the pockets DIDN'T bulge or give added bulk around the middle (very surprising).
