Shiny, thick, luxurious, well constructed
I rented this for a sunny vacation. It was a bit "fancy", but I tend to over-dress, I loved it! The fabric is definitely a shiny, silver color. The material is thick and a bit raspy, my two year old didn't like it haha! The scratchy feel did not bother my body as I wore it. I read the other reviews about the long straps after I wore the dress. I was surprised to read the comments because I did not have that problem. As a point of reference, I have a short torso, height is 5.2-5.3ish. The dress was long on me, calf length. I wore a strapless bra and the fit was great. The pleats in the dress are so well constructed, they make the dress "luxe". Since the material is thick, it hugs the curves and it's forgiving at the same time. Since I am petite and have a short torso, I wore a thin belt to accentuate my waist. Without the belt, the natural waist of the dress would not have looked as flattering for my height. Overall, I loved the dress! I definitely would recommend it.

I needed to either wear a cami or pin so I was not over exposed in the chest area . The fit may be better on someone with a longer torso. Beautiful patterns. Sleeves have a beautiful fitted style.
