I originally rented a Hervé Léger for a formal military function and while it was a pretty dress it was WAY too low cut for my event. RTR came to the rescue! I called on Thursday evening, picked out this as an alternative and I had it by Friday afternoon! The color is gorgeous and I received a ton of compliments. The ruching on one side sits a little oddly, but honestly I think I was the only one who noticed. I ordered a 6 and an 8 both fit, but the 6 was a smidge tight and the 8 was a bit too big. I wore the 6, which fit perfectly after throwing on my Spanx! Everyone was really surprised that I rented the dress.

I loved the fit of this dress! However, the color did nothing for me. :o( I am super fair-skinned with dark hair and the silvery color washed me out. I am a busty girl with narrow hips, so I have a hard time finding a dress that doesn’t make me look like a linebacker. This dress gave me CURVES!!! I ordered this dress as backup for the Mark & James by Badgley Mischka Draped Dream Dress. If I could have combined the color of the Draped Dream with the fit of this Nicole Miller I would have had the perfect dress.

I LOVE the color of this dress! It does run large. I am normally an 8 in dresses and the small fit wonderfully. (Great boost to my ego!!) My 5' 4", 38C, apple frame held up okay, but it was a bit lacking in the shape department for me. I have very narrow hips so it wasn't terribly flattering on me. I did not wear this dress for my event, but would have if it was slightly more fitted to my shape. If I were a super curvy girl or pear shaped I totally would have rocked this dress!

I intended to wear this dress for a formal military function and while a beautiful blue it was SUPER low cut. I am a relatively short girl 5'4", so maybe I just didn't have the height to pull it off. The photos on the model show the neckline ending much higher than it did on me. The zipper started approximately 1.5 inches below my bustline. My husband thought it was super sexy, but agreed it was not appropriate for our function.
