The size 8 fit snugly but well, and was very flattering. The arms were a bit snug, but I think that had more to do with my giant arms than the dress itself. Someone with less arm chub might find it more comfortable. I could just as easily have worn the 10, but the snug fit was a little more flattering up top. There was not a major difference in size between the two, but if you're not on the scrawny side, I would definitely consider getting the size you think you need and then the larger size (rather than the smaller) as a backup, since the top fit tightly. The dress is lined in the top half, but the skirt portion is unlined. It's still very comfortable, though - but I expected the entire dress to be lined. The skirt hung pretty much exactly like the RTR photo - the folds looked great and the skirt had some volume by itself. The dress itself was a good weight and the bottom half is very forgiving. It would look great with some tulle underneath for extra poof. A word to the wearer - I loved this dress so much that I spun around in it all night, but the skirt flew up over my backside! So if you plan on spinning around, make sure you either wear spanx or really cute undies for everyone to see. The bride at this wedding was very nonchalant and laid-back, but I might caution wearing this to a wedding with a bridezilla as the dress does have some white in it, but it is definitely more ivory than bright white. As usual, the dress and the backup size came clean and ready to wear with no issues. I didn't want to send it back!

I ordered a Medium because I was afraid the dress would be too tight, but selected the small as a backup. I ended up wearing the small so that it would fit snugly. The dress was incredibly comfortable, but I did wear it with spanx to help smoth things out a bit. I'd absolutely recommend it!
