Great for Halloween or Day of the Dead
Colorful vibe with ruffled skirt makes for a terrific fiesta, tropical, Halloween, or Day-of-the-Dead outfit. Slit in front is not too high for a short woman, and makes it easy to walk. Length is great for a petite.

Valentine's Dinner With My Husband In A Color Befitting the Occasion!
This dress is very comfortable, and is a beautiful, true red color. Great for Valentine's Day or the Winter Holidays. Size 6 fits like a Department Store Size 6 (as opposed to many designer dresses at RTR which usually run small). I am 5'2", with short legs. Upper part of dress fit perfectly, despite my broad shoulders; lower half is very roomy, and shape wear is not necessary. To accommodate my short stature, I basted the hem one inch, and basted the opening at the bosom one inch. (Stitches removed before returning dress.) I wore this dress with black boots to elongate my legs. Husband loved my look!

Beautiful, outdoor garden setting at Winterthur Mansion for a black tie wedding.
The dress runs TTS. I have a broad, athletic back with a C cup and muscular upper arms, and had plenty of room. I wore the size 6 -- I am currently @ 132-133 lbs., 5'2*. The primary concern for us shorties is the length; I wore a Regular, but needed very high heels to carry it off. Besides being only 5'2", most of my length is in my torso (I have relatively short legs). If you look at the photo, you will see that tbe hem is just grazing the floor. I was wearing 4" heels with a 3 /4 " platform. I was able to dance with the hem at this length.

Visit to The Getty Villa, Los Angeles
I wore the Medium because the Large was too loose. I am 135 lbs. ordinarily, but had put on a few lbs. at the time of my outing. The dress fit well in the hips, waist, and bust -- but I could not zip it up all the way because I have a broad back/athletic build, and the dress has no give. I solved the issue by wearing a black, cotton, summer cardigan tied at my neck and draped down the back. The dress can easily be dressed down (I wore flat, macrame sandals and the dress was a good length on my short frame). It was 83 degrees in Los Angeles on this mid-July day, and I found the dress to be light and comfortable to stroll in outdoors at the Getty Villa. I would recommend.

Dinner with Old Friends in this lovely dress!
The dress fits true to size for a designer dress, i.e., one size up from your department store dress size. The colors are fabulous, and my husband adored this little number. The fabric has a lot of compression, so is very forgiving of any "bumps or lumps" you might have; I did not need a bra with this dress. Dress can be accessorized for a formal or more casual event. Finally, as long as your arms are toned, this is a good choice for an older woman.

Celebrate Spring With Your Outfit!
For a large-busted woman, or a woman with a broad back or wide shoulders, size up. I wore this in a Small, but in order to have the top wrap over sufficiently to cover the chest, I probably would have needed a Large. I wore a pale gray, embellished tee-shirt underneath. I would recommend this top for someone who is pear-shaped. The added volume in the flutter-sleeves and peplum, will help balance out your bottom. If you don't need additional volume up top, you might want to re-think ordering this top. The top has lovely Spring colors in yellow and pink-hued lilac, and is a beautiful, unlined silk.

Tad Short for an Older Woman
Ordered an 8 and a 6. Other dresses I've ordered at RTR have fit perfectly at size 8, but I was unable to get the size 8 fully zipped in the back. (Although I have an hourglass shape, I do have broad shoulders.) It was an outdoor wedding shower on a rainy, cool day in May 2017, so I was able to solve the problem by wearing a white, cotton cardigan that I had on hand. I am 65, and the skirt was a tad short for my age as far as propriety goes (legs in good condition, went bare-legged and wore flats). At the shower, I received a compliment from a woman in my age group, so perhaps I was able to pull it off. LOL! All in all, this is a lovely dress for a woman age 50 and under.

Christmas with family.
I am 65, so I wore with shape wear for a smooth look. Dress runs true to size. I am 5'2", and I don't find this particular length to be flattering for short women, but because I really liked the dress I ordered it anyway. I wore with boots to lengthen the look of my legs to the extent possible. The most important difference between the actual dress and what shows on the RTR model is the color; this dress is not a bright Christmas red -- it is a lovely, deep garnet red. Very nice on brunettes.

34 years of marriage and my husband was wowed by this dress! Anniversary celebration.
I am short -- only 5'2", and 135 lbs., with an hourglass shape. I wore a size 8, and it fit perfectly -- good length for short women. I am 64 years old, and this is a good dress for older women as long as you are in the habit of working out your arms to minimize flab. We had just left the parking garage for dinner in Santa Monica, CA, when a younger man called out, "I love your dress!" That made my groom of so many years quite proud! :-)

I have very thin, fine-boned wrists and this fit perfectly. Please be aware that if you have normal to large-sized wrists, you will have a difficult time fitting this bracelet to your wrist. Very nice gold accessory for casual to dressy events.

Great masquerade costume for Melisandre, Game of Thrones! Worn with Campbell Checkerboard Collar.
PROS: The dress has an interesting retro look, and is a beautiful, rich color and fabric. Although the fabric appears heavy, I remained surprisingly cool on a warm, Fall day at an outside function. The dress runs true to size, and would have been beautiful for a Fall/Winter wedding or party paired with an antique-looking statement necklace. (I was using it as part of a Halloween costume.) I am 5'2" and the Regular length was perfect with 4-5 inch heels. The dress is NOTE: The extremely low-cut, as pictured, so I wore a bandeau underneath to make the dress "family friendly" for the Halloween party. CONS: This was my free birthday dress. I received an e-mail a few days before the event that the size 6 that I needed was not available, and to choose another. The Stylist I spoke with was very helpful in looking for another Size 6 that might substitute, but since this was a very specific Halloween character (Melisandre from Game of Thrones), I was not able to find anything quite appropriate, and just attempted something in a similar color. The Stylist also felt that I might be able to wear my back-up Size 4, since this was a wrap-around dress and most likely would be forgiving. Unfortunately, the dress is NOT a wrap-around after all (it zips up the back), and I was unable to get the Size 4 zipped up the back, although it did fit around the hips and lower body because of the fullness of the skirt. Luckily, I was wearing a wig with extremely long hair as part of my costume, so I just wore the dress unzipped to the waist and was able to pull it off. Finally, the Size 4 smelled clean, but had dark sweat stains under the armpits. These were not visible when wearing.

Added sparkle and fun to my dinner at L'Auberge in Sedona, AZ, to celebrate a milestone birthday.
Necklace lies beautifully at a perfect point on the neck, and can be worn with a less formal outfit than the wedding gowns featured by other women on the RTR site. I wore it to a special dinner with a group of twelve while on vacation Sedona, Arizona, with a simple outfit. The necklace was really my only ornamentation (other than my cowboy hat), and it really made a statement. Loads of fun! :-)
