I could have used the L. But the M still fit. I received so many compliments and it really sparkles! Also very comfortable.

Great classic LBD
This dress was a nice material. I think it looked a lot better than the photo does it justice. I had a hard time figuring out the right way to pose in it. I wore a Medium, which is usually my size. It was comfortable!

If you want to receive compliments, rent this dress!
I had a love-hate relationship with this dress! First of all, it is so pretty in person - I don't think I have ever received so many compliments in my life! However, for someone with a full "top", this may not be the dress for you, you can always improvise with safety pins...if you want. The straps were long for me, so it took some time to get it figured out - but once I did, it looked great. I wore the 8 - which I am between a 6-8/Medium usually.
