It does run large- I usually wear a size 4/6 and am a 34D, but felt the medium just looked big, not the cute loose fit that the dress should be, so I went with the small. Wore it for a date with my husband and he loved it.

I rented this dress for a catamaran cruise with my company in St Maarten. It was very forgiving, and was an easy dress to wear. Loved the pockets as well! My only note- I have a large bust but felt it was big in the bust area and was constantly adjusting myself. Would rent again though!
