I loved this dress. It was very pretty but a little edgy also, like not too boring. The skirt is dark grey and the top is dark navy, in case you're thinking it's black! I paired it with knee-high black boots and got lots of compliments. I'm normally a 4 or maybe 6 for a top; I wore a small in this dress. I'd highly recommend.

This dress is really nicely made to be flattering, with the inside liner the right combination of fit and flare (tight to the thigh and then flares out a bit below for a beautiful fall). I did have a few minor complaints about the dress. One is that I'm not very tall, but I thought this dress ran short. It didn't reach the ground even without shoes on. I'm 5'5". Another is that I had a lot of trouble figuring out if I should have worn a bra. There is a built-in bra with underwire, but I didn't feel like it fully did the job. But when I put on a strapless bra, I felt like I was busting out of the top! (My strapless bra was a push-up, so maybe a simpler strapless bra would have been a good choice.) It does show a fair bit of cleavage! If you're nervous about sizing, I would say go smaller rather than larger. The stretch in this dress is great, and my pear shape didn't do well with the top of this dress when I tried the larger of my two sizes. It was just too big. But the smaller size with the stretch worked great. I got a ton of compliments on this dress all night and would definitely recommend.

I LOVED this dress. From the open, asymmetrical neckline to the gathers around the middle, this dress could not have been more flattering. The blue is not over the top, and the fitted curves would be fantastic for any body type. My only complaint was that without any seams, I couldn't really tell whether the dress was facing forward all night - it kept getting kind of twisted. But I doubt anyone but me noticed. Would definitely recommend. (By the way, I'm not sure what size I wore because I couldn't find it on the tag, but I'm pretty sure it was 44, or what I think is about an 8, which would make this pretty true to size.)

Pros: I loved pretty much everything about this dress. The true waist and the gathers at the side made it very flattering. I was afraid the pink hues might be wrong for a Christmas party, but it worked really well. The embroidery is quite formal, but I found that the work, against a black background, was quite sharp and modern, not old-fashioned. The see-through fabric and sweetheart-type neckline were so pretty, and I found the dress to be quite comfortable. Cons: The only con was that the bra situation was a little tough. I'm not built to go braless, so I wore strapless. It was mostly fine -- just had to adjust a few times during the night when it became visible. Size: You should order at the lower end of normal for you, or even a size smaller. I am smaller on top -- usually a "small" top and a 10/12 pants, and I wore a size 4 in this dress. The skirt was not tight for my traditional pear-shape...!!
