Loved wearing this dress. I'd say im usually a 10 but went with a 12. Glad i chose the 12. Without shape wear, even though this wasn't tight fitting in the waist ( it was roomy for me in the waist- i carry my most of weight in lower part of body) i needed a layer between me and the dress around my belly button because the way the dress laid on me, it would show my belly button without shapewear. That may be because of my "sway back" and wouldnt be a problem if i had zero body fat there; it also was not due to the fabric being too thin. For shape-wear i wore like a thick corset thing over my waist so that i wouldn't be self conscious. The dress fabric is nice and thick enough so that it has structure. The way that the skirt is cut is so cute. It feels like a modern take on 60's mod. I usually prefer long sleeves -over short sleeves like this -because I get worried that the sleeve will look tight, which may have been why I went with the larger size. This sleeves didn't bother me at all. With the correct Shapeware, this was a super flattering dress. I dont usually like wearing neon but it worked for the event and the shape of the silhouette made up for the fact that i didnt love the color. Wish they would make this into a skirt. The little flair on the skirt is really something special. It was "that time of the month" when i wore this dress and i was feeling very picky and not easily satisfied, so the fact that this dress made me feel cute is saying a lot, considering the circumstances!!! Get it!
