I have nothing but good things to say about this dress that I rented for a business school formal. I enjoy wearing bold and colorful makeup and therefore usually lean towards boring, neutral dresses for formal events. This one was anything but ordinary with the subtle yet flashy sparkle. I was afraid it would look too much like a cheap Halloween dress with the sequins, but it was nowhere near! The sequins were not too scratchy once you were used to feeling them under your arms. The cut was incredibly flattering on me as it hid my tummy but showed off my curves. I loved how the neck was low cut but not too scandalous. However, I did pin it closed slightly at the beginning of the night because the dean of my school and other professors were at the event.

The bow in front looks flat and awkward. Killed a beautiful dress. Also, the dress gets narrow for the waist a little too high in my opinion. Maybe I have too long of a rib cage, but the zipper would not zip at one point because the dress was too tight at exactly one point about two inches above my natural waist. Above and below it was actually loose, but right at the exact top of the black part it was nowhere near fitting. Also, I am a busty girl, but there was more than enough extra room in the chest of this dress.

Rented this dress for a business school formal. Received complements all night about how classy I looked. As I am studying marketing many said it reminded them of the show Mad Men. The dress fit wonderfully and is VERY thick and supportive. I had no need to wear a bra with this dress (which was shocking)! Only negative is how puffy the skirt is. As you can see in my pictures, it looks nothing like the model's picture in real life.

Rented this dress as a backup for a school formal and loved it, though I wore the other dress to the event. However, this dress was too pretty to pass up so I wore it to my former rugby team's Alumni Weekend party. Everyone loved it, and was shocked to hear that I had rented the dress! I was able to dress it down with a blazer and modest shoes, although I was still dressier than the others there. Great amount of cleavage showing, and the lace was very pretty. Only negative is that the waist is very snug compared to the rest of the dress. Also, fabric has no give and speaking from experience, I would not recommend this dress if dance off's are a possibility for the night! Luckily the dress insurance covers minor rips!

I wore this dress for an MBA formal and received many complements throughout the night from classmates, professors, and especially guys at the bar after ;) (the bouncer still remembers me a year later as that girl with the "bangin" dress). For those of us who are a little nervous about showing off the wrong curves in tight dresses, this one is perfect! Thanks to the busy and criss-crossed design no one notices! My only negative on the dress is the in ability to wear a real bra or even a strapless bra with it. Ended up going the stick-on route, which was a mild success. Wish the top was built a little more supportive instead of stretchy.

I rented this dress for a formal event with my business school. I expected the beautiful champagne sparkly dress in the picture. When the dress arrived it was not even close to the same color. Fabric is dark dusty rose with matte BROWN sequins. In addition, the fabric does not have a lot of give and was entirely too tight at the bust. Not at all what I was anticipating and I hated it. However, when I called RTR in a panic, they were more than understanding and overnighted me another dress to wear. So despite the dress surprise, the overall experience with RTR was fantastic!
