This dress is great. I didn't end up wearing it because it was REALLY short. Given, I'm pretty tall and I have a booty that hikes up any skirt a bit, but I had about 2 inches of skirt below my butt to work with. Maybe if I was attending a winter event and had the option of opaque tights, this could have worked. Even though I did not end up wearing this dress to my event, I will say that other than the length it fit really well. It does run small, so definitely order at least a size up. I usually wear a 6 or an 8, and the 10 fit me best. I had my roommate and a friend try on the 8, and it looked great on them as well, even though we have totally different body types. They are both in the 5'2"-5'4" range, and the length was not a problem for them. If you are considering this dress, it's a beautiful piece. I definitely feel that it is as pretty in person as it is in the photo. Just be sure to order a larger size than usual and beware of the length! I would order a back-up style if tights aren't an option for your event.

I actually ordered this as my back-up style, and I am SO glad that I did! I absolutely loved everything about this dress. If I could afford it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! It's hard for me to find dresses that fit well that I consider "sexy." I'm tall and have a large bust, so things that would look sexy and tasteful on others often end up looking sleazy on me; anything low-cut or with a high hemline is basically out of the picture! This dress showed just the right amount of skin. I was getting compliments all night long! I'm all over the place as far as sizing goes, but this dress fit like a glove. I most often wear a 6 or an 8. The fabric does have some give to it, so it fits to your body beautifully. I will also say that I can't remember the last time I wore a dress to a formal event and was able to go spanx-free, but in this dress, not only was I able to go without spanx, I felt hotter than I ever felt with them! Who even knew that was possible!? I feel that this dress would be appropriate for myriad events, and it's also a great canvas for fun shoes, handbags, and jewelry. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone considering!

I got this dress because my original pick was unavailable due to complications from Hurricane Sandy. I actually ended up liking it even more than my original choice! It fit like a dream and I felt beautiful in it. People were telling me all night that I looked like a celebrity! It was very classy, but the high leg slit made it sexy too. I'm 5'9" and my heels were around 4" tall, and the length of the 6L was perfect. I'd highly recommend this dress for your next formal event!
