It was hard to tell in the stock photo what the material would feel like. It's a soft, flexible, jersey-like material (would travel well as it did not seem wrinkled when I took it out of the bag). While easy to wear it did not have the expensive look I was hoping for. I opted to wear a different dress instead. I likely could have sized down for a more form-fitting look.

Size down, especially if you have a smaller frame. This is a gorgeous dress. I have a small chest and found the bust a little big, and the straps a tiny bit long, but it did not interfere with my wearing of the dress. At 5' 6" is came to my ankle. I would absolutely rent this again for a black tie-ish event.
