4 months post partum, I was not super comfortable to rent this dress but I have an obsession with open backs! The fabric was very giving and the color stunning. Of course, I loved the back of the dress but I was a bit leery about the front stomach area. With any kind of pastel color, areas a person may want to hide are very much out in the open. Standing and enjoying cocktails, I felt comfortable to move freely. Once seated for dinner, I was personally self-conscious about my mid-area as I felt the dress accentuated my post-baby belly. All-in-all, lovely dress!

This rehearsal dinner and wedding weekend was my first weekend away after having our second child 4 months earlier. I was having a trickier time loosing the baby weight this time around, so I felt very self conscious ordering cocktail dresses. Luckily for me, I melted in this dress! The fabric was comfortable and flattering, and the asymmetric cut accentuated my sexy curves without highlighting areas I did not feel comfortable with. Also, not that it's required, but I definitely received two thumbs up from the husband!

Since loosing a little weight, I wasn't sure what size to go with but I ended up being pleased with the 12R. The skirt is very flowy and the lace cut outs on the sides add a nice touch of flare to the profile view, but be advised the rib cage area doesn't have much give - hence me opting for the slightly bigger size. The top would definitely work better with fuller breasts, and my only complaint is the odd neckline cut. (The "V" area was a wire!) Boob tape didn't cut it that night (at least for me), so be prepared to adjust the ladies most of the evening. It ended up not being too much of an issue, though, even with all of the dancing. I absolutely loved the feel of walking around the reception in this dress. The way the skirt moves is so fun! I received a ton of compliments all evening. In a room full of black cocktail dresses, my teal tea-length dress was certainly a crowd favorite!

Usually I wear a 12 but it wasn't available in this dress so I chanced the 10. I'm sure a 12 would've fit, too, but the 10 worked great! The front of the dress is flowy enough to cover any imperfections in the tummy area and the back is super sexy. The dress is easy to glam up, or dress it down like I did for a friend's rehearsal dinner. Definitely would love to own this one!

First off, I have to mention how amazing the manager at the Chicago RTR store is!!! I had rented a previous style for a wedding that I thought was bump friendly (by the time of the wedding I was 12 weeks pregnant). The dress arrived late Thursday night, but I was already in bed and worked on Friday so I did not try the dress on until Friday evening. By that time, the deadline for exchange had passed. My husband raced me to the store Saturday morning to plea with the store to let me rent another dress. I was a hormonal, pregnant mess and the manager was able to calm me down almost instantly. He gave me a credit for a rental and personally picked out dresses for me to help me feel sexy and beautiful, even with a pronounced belly. The dress I am reviewing was one I did not even think to pick out for myself. The manager suggested it and as soon as I tried it on, I fell in love! The fabric is very similar to neoprene (like a wetsuit) which seems weird at first, but it was incredibly comfortable. The outdoor wedding was also colder than anticipated, so I felt super warm in my dress. I would imagine you may not want to rent this dress for a hot, summer wedding, but it was perfect for a crisp Fall evening. I could not have been happier. I am not a "hug" type person, but I hugged the manager that day. Thank you for an awesome experience!

I was really excited to wear this dress. The fabric seemed really comfortable and I loved the style of the back. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because it was listed as "bump friendly," which, after trying it on, was not the case. I have never had a fitting problem before. I would recommend this dress to women who are not pregnant. The outer layer is nice and flowy but the inner layer is tight without much give. It doesn't allow for much movement with the zipper. If you're looking for a bump friendly dress, this just isn't for you. But RTR does have plenty of other options that do work with expectant mothers. I would suggest going to one of the stores (if you live near one) so you can actually try dresses on.

I rented this dress for my daughter's 2nd birthday, "Fairies and Pirates." (Hence my husband wearing eyeliner!) I was 10 weeks pregnant at the time and most of my things had already become a little tight. I wasn't ready to share the exciting news with everyone so I was looking for a flattering style that would hide the slightly pronounced baby bump. Baby #2 is showing a lot earlier than my daughter did so I was very self conscious. This dress made me feel beautiful and I received compliments all day. Plus no one had any idea I was pregnant! Loved it!

First off, I was initially heartbroken because I got an email from RTR saying they didn't have the size 12 available because someone returned it late and damaged (shame on you!). Because of how late they found out, there wasn't time for me to select a replacement dress so RTR sent a different style in the size 12. Well, I'm so happy that the size 10 fit! There was a little bunching in the back, but not noticeable. The dress was slimming and moved like a dream while I was dancing! It reminded me of when I was little and would twirl so my dress would spin. I was worried the cut of the top would give that weird armpit fat thing, but the fabric was very forgiving and overall, I felt the look was incredibly flattering. I'm seriously contemplating renting this same dress again! Loved it!!

Overall, I loved this dress! I'm tall and sometimes dresses run a little short, but this length was perfect. Everywhere fit nicely except around the chest but I had expected that from reading reviews. To be honest, I was surprised the M fit me as I'm usually a size 10/12. The L was just too large in the front for my less-than-stellar chest. My husband could not stop touching my back. I felt sexy, yet classy. I've never had so many strangers come up and compliment my dress! Definitely another successful rental!

I'm tall and a lot of reviews mention this dress is short. Definitely runs true. I still gave it a 5 because I absolutely loved it. The length didn't bother me because I was on my feet dancing and socializing most of the night. If you have long legs, sitting can be annoying. Just be mindful of checking the dress when you sit and before you stand back up. Still, I wish I owned this!
