High high waist
This waist was sitting right under my rib cage—if you are long waisted. It might work but an 8 was not working for me at all

Fit is a little wonky in the middle, but was able to get it to behave by tying belt in back and layering over another belt of my own

Close fit, but cut well -- great for curves up top and trim waist. The bottom hit just at belt buckle one. Got lots of compliments aired with tight black jeans and platform sandals

Well-tailored and High Quality
I love the way these trousers feel--the perfect weight and the construction is of high quality. I'm in between a 6-8 now and have the size 8's. They are bit oversized, but I don't mind them baggy. For a more professional look, I'd probably go to the 6.
