Size up, then size up again…
I’m usually a 4, and only sometimes I need a 6. From the reviews, I sized up to an 8 and it still fit like a sausage casing! The dress looked like it had been cleaned too many times and had lost its vibrant color. Didn’t wear.

Exceeded expectations!
This dress was incredible - so many compliments! The material was amazing (with a forgiving bit of stretch). This is a dark hunter green and beautiful for a late autumn event. I have a slim pear body type and sometimes slim silhouettes don’t work in my hips but this fit perfectly. Slim thru the waist, this Would be great for hourglass shapes but might be a snug fit for busty or apple body types.

Gorgeous but awkward on narrow shoulders
The color is incredibly beautiful and the material is so smooth and buttery. Very smoothing and flattering (with a forgiving bit of stretch). I wish this could have worked out but the shoulder fit awkwardly on my narrow shoulders - otherwise a beautiful dress

Conservative sexy
This dress can definitely accommodate gals with fuller hips/booty. I went with the smaller size and had room to spare. Style brings sexy sophistication without showing too much.

Believe the reviews - runs SMALL
I’m typically a 4/6 and have very spindly arms and the Medium was unwearably small in the hips (and quite snug in the arms). There is a nominal amount of stretch to the dress, so don’t count on it being very forgiving. The idea of a large for a backup size felt crazy - but I absolutely would have needed that. I didn’t even try on the small to preserve my self-esteem. If you have hips or normal arms, size up and double size up for your backup!

Vavavoom!
I got this dress in a small and medium. Both fit but gave different looks - the small was very vavavoom/sexy and the medium was more sleek/sophisticated. The stretch in the fabric was very forgiving for those us us with some hips/booty. The shoulder pads were just a tiny bit too much on small/narrow shoulders. Be advised the slit is very prominent - be prepared to show a little leg! Beautiful dress, but I ultimately went with my backup dress and didn’t wear this one.

Sparkle to the max!
Great dress for a party - tons of sparkle and dimension to the sequins and gorgeous color. Fit true to size - flattering cut. Sometimes shift dresses are not flattering to my hips/booty area but this was forgiving and slimming.

90s retro futuristic perfection
Sizing was right on the money - enough forgiveness in the hips for us "slim pear" types. Fabric was detailed and interesting - enough black tones in the material to make pairing with black nylons work.

Dress was so perfect for the occasion BUT the fit just didn't work for my body type. If you have hips/booty, this (sadly) isn't the dress for us. Sizing up just made the upper part of the dress too baggy.

60s inspired sheath
Fit: I'm typically a 2-4 on top and 6 on the bottom and the 42 fit perfectly. Note that it is a sheath cut, meaning it doesn't have a defined waist and is meant to be loose in the midsection. Style: SO many compliments! This was for a fancy swinging 60s party and it was right on the money, style wise. 60s inspired without being a costume Color: while this "reads" white - it is actually more of a oyster or bone color. The fabric was thick and substantial.

This was a lovely dress, and I was lucky that my usual size 4 was not available. I am almost always a 4, so initially I was worried I would be swimming in a 6. But when it arrived, I found myself wishing I had gotten an 8 as backup! The 6 worked fine, but was maybe a little more fitted than I would have liked for a work event.

I am usually a 4, but based on other reviewers, I ordered a 4 and a 2 in this dress and I am glad I did. I wore the 4 because it was a little more comfortable, but I could have worn the 2 for a more fitted look.

Sophisticated and unique
Agree with other reviewers that this dress runs slightly large. I am usually a 4, so I rented the 4 (which I wore and it fit well) and the 6 (which was much too big). Size down for your back up. This cut was forgiving and flattering for pear shapes, plenty of room in the skirt if you have fuller hips/bottom.

Lovely but didn't wear :(
This was a backup dress sent because another dress was damaged. It was beautiful but the 4 was pretty short. If I had pretty flats to wear this would have worked, but I didn't have the right shoes to make this work so I didn't end up wearing this.

A little too small and a little too short.
I ordered a 4 and a 6, but the 6 was returned damaged so I only got the 4, which was a little too snug through the waist and a bit too short. Didn't touch floor in bare feet.

Poor fit for pear shapes
Beautiful dress (though the lace was showing quite a bit of wear) but was a poor fit for my body type. Fit well through hips but was much too large through bust and shoulders. Didn't end up wearing this dress.

Fit was more snug than expected. I reserved the 4 and 6. Even with the 6 It was pretty snug. Wished I could have had the 6L, the 6R was ankle length, even in bare feet.

Didn't care for exposed seams...
True to size and figure flattering. Material has ample stretch so it was comfortable and forgiving. BUT...I didn't like the exposed seams which prompted both my mother and my niece to ask, "is it inside out?!?" Went with my other dress instead.

Great for 20's theme party
Rented the small and medium - the small fit but was a little more snug around the hips so I went with the medium. The looser look of the medium had more of a 20's feel so it was the better choice. A great choice for a 20's party without being costume-ish.

Beautiful, quality dress
Fabric: Beautiful material in a vibrant, rich color (deeper color than in the photos). Fabric has some stretch, and is a heavier material, so better for fall/winter event. Fabric may look/feel a bit heavy for summer. Fit: Slim cut through bust and waist. This may not be the dress for you if you are bigger through the bust and/or waist. I'm pretty small through the ribs, and I found it to be pretty snug, but the stretch made it comfortable. Recommend sizing up for back up. Length: perfect - hit right above the knee

Lovely dress for spring
The look of the dress was perfect for a Kentucky Derby themed party - I received a number of compliments! The dress is true to size - I'm usually a 4, the back-up 2 "fit" also but was snug through the waist and less comfortable. If you are planning on white accessories, be advised that the white stripes are more of a winter white or ivory (though not so dark to be called cream). The material is a nice, crisp cotton which made it cool and comfortable to wear; but was starting to look a touch worn. I was a little surprised that the dress did not have pockets - that might have gotten it 5 stars!

Beautiful, comfortable, classy - a go-to dress
This was my back-up dress (but I ended up wearing this to the event). I felt that this dress with the full skirt could be a safe bet for fit. The 4R fit perfectly - I could see how this might not be a good choice for bustier gals - the bodice is fairly small. The length with 2.5" heels was perfect. I thought that the material was beautiful and flowy; the dress floats as you walk. This dress is conservative and classy, but the one-shoulder and slit give it a little pizzazz. An added bonus: it was very comfortable - no spanx required! Maybe not the most exciting dress I've ever worn, but I would definitely rent again (especially as a solid back-up choice).

Beautiful dress (but pear shapes proceed with caution)
This is such a beautiful dress -- the tulle is full and voluminous with many many layers. It looked so Audrey-glam and feminine (I'm just not seeing this goth thing that some other reviewers refer to) in fact, I felt like it was very ballerina-eqsue yet modern with the hi-lo hemline. As for the fit, while the outer layers of the skirt are very full, there is a lining that is cut very slim, I could just barely get it over my hips - it "fit" in the technical sense of the word, but not comfortably . The top part fit fine (could have even sized down possibly), but the bottom was just too snug to wear with confidence - so sad, wished I could have worn it! Will rent again, next time in a bigger size!

Lovely dress but sent it back -- too small and too short
This dress was a lovely color with nice material, but didn't end up wearing it because it was too small and much too short. I got the size small - the backup medium was not available. Like other reviewers have said, the bust of this dress is quite small and was snug, ruining the lovely drape of the dress. Also, the dress was very short -- ankle length -- without shoes on, which made it look both silly and too casual-looking for a black-tie event.
