I loved this dress! It came as a backup and I am so glad it did, it wasn't something I would have chosen for myself but it looked great on. I wore it to a theater event with a cropped leather jacket and it was the perfect combo of dressy and formal. I wear a size 8-10 in most clothes but the 10 was good because my chest is larger and this didn't squish me.

I was in a wedding party where the bride just wanted everyone to pick a navy dress, which sounded easy but there were too many amazing choices on RTR it was actually a challenge! I was really glad I went with this one, the event was at a mansion in South Carolina and the lace gave it a fancy traditional feel but the neckline and open back made it modern. I echo the other reviewers comments that the long is really just about right for anyone 5'7" and above. I was not able to wear heels with this dress, but I don't think the dress was made for heels, it is designed to have a pretty hem that looks good coming and going, like you are floating. No stretch in the fabric, but I am a size 8 in most clothes and took a size 8 in this dress as well.

This dress runs true to size, meaning, no vanity sizing here. The neckline has a lot of lace so I think a necklace would look complicated with the outfit, so I paired it with nicer earrings. I wore a gold shoe and I think that was the best choice for color combo. If you are debating ordering a size up or down I would order a size up because there is very little "give" in the fabric. The best part of the dress is it's gorgeous color (really much brighter than it appears online) and the fact that it would be equally at home at a formal or semi-formal event, the lace making it formal and the length (just above the knee) making it somewhat less so. I wore it to a good friend's wedding where I wasn't sure how formally folks would be dressed (we've all been there, right?) It was the perfect choice.
