I just received my NYE outfit from RTR. This cuff is stunning. Size: It's about 3 inches wide, solid gold, all the way around. It is snug around my wrist, and not terribly adjustable. If it were any smaller, it would be a problem. However, this means that it doesn't slide around on your wrist all night. I love this about it. Color: The cuff itself is brilliant yellow gold. Originally, I was expecting it to look more mother-of-pearl, from the photo on the website. Obviously, it's super shiny. It's a gorgeous piece. I can't stop looking at it! It is the perfect balance of elegance and edginess. Anyhow, I wanted to post this up before NYE in case anyone's looking for something last minute-- hence the picture.

The dress looks great in the pictures and great from far away (or even across the room), but up close it didn't look as precious as I had hoped. I was expecting it to be a true knit, but it is a stretchy, solid fabric. I have a large bust, so the waist was too high on me as well. On the right person, and with the right styling, it could have some wow factor, but on it's own, it didn't really do it for me.

The picture does not do them justice at all. They were very, very elegant, smaller than I expected, and they way that they hang is very dainty-- the three hanging jewels at the bottom sort of fold together so the profile of the earring is straight up and down, rather than wider at the bottom, as the picture suggests. They are well crafted and look very, very expensive. Because they are a bit smaller, they are not necessarily a statement piece, so I would suggest a bracelet or even an equally elegant necklace.

Wore it to a wedding in NY. I will start by saying this is my favorite dress I have ever put on. The way that the fabric moves-- it's incredible. People kept saying I looked like I was floating. Fit: I was nervous about the fit-- about it being too muumuu-ish. I have a full bust and usually opt for dresses that have a defined waist, so that I can avoid looking like a shapeless blob. With the way that the fabric is draped and the way it moves, this was not an issue. It was, in fact, quite flattering. Also, the fabric is VERY sheer and the slip underneath is form-fitting (but not tight), so my silhouette was still visible. I usually wear a 4. I ordered the 4L and the 2L. I wore the 4 because the draping over my bust looked a little better. If you have a smaller bust or narrow shoulders, you can probably get away with the 2, if the 4 isn't available for the dates you want. I honestly could've gotten away with the 2. Also, it was super comfortable. We left the house at 9am and got back around 2am. I still didn't want to take it off. There's not a lot to this dress. It weighs nothing, and if I had to, I probably could've fit it into my purse with room to spare (don't worry, I didn't). Length: I wore a 4L... with 4.5 inch gold satin heels. I am 5'8. The heels were absolutely necessary. With the shoes, the dress cleared the floor by an inch and a half, maybe 2 inches. If you're going to order two sizes, I might recommend ordering the R and the L, unless you are prepared to be in really high heels all day. Walk around in it at home with the shoes you are going to wear with it. I actually recommend this to anyone wearing a long dress. Accessories: small diamond stud earrings, gold satin pumps, black clutch. The dress is enough by itself.

This dress is super cute and very, very comfortable-- it weighs maybe 1 lb. I was nervous about the straplessness of it-- I am a 32d, so I get nervous about dresses/strapless bras falling down. Since it was so light, it didn't slip at all. It had just enough elastic on top to keep it in place, but not so much that I could feel it binding or anything. I would definitely recommend it for warm weather/hot weather because it is so weightless. The pattern had way more blue than the picture lets on here. It's half blue half black. The blue is a very bright navy, almost ultramarine. Another benefit is that it transitions seamlessly from day to night. I wore it on my birthday during the day with sandals and then added heels and jewelry for nighttime. People were actually stopping me on the street (I'm serious-- 3 different times) to ask me where I got it. The other cool thing about it is that it photographs really well. My birthday pictures look great!
