I rented this for a vineyard wedding, planning to wear it to the cocktail hour the night before the wedding. I did not wear this dress, however. The fitting was really odd and I could barely get into either sizes that I rented. I think the most difficult part of this dress is the waist as it is very narrow. I am an athletic build, typically a size 4, and could not do this dress at all. Also, the fabric is coarse and reminded me of a potato sack.

awesome dress! comfortable fit and elegant details. i love the top lace on this dress. you may not be able to see it in the photos, but it has a little ruffle on the back side of the dress. it's very subtle though and adds to the dress. i wore it to a wedding and received many compliments. i had recently gained about 5 lbs and this dress was a great find because it wasnt oddly shaped or with difficult fabric. i felt classy in this dress. highly recommend!

Love the back of this dress! Very unique and understated sexy. The dress was, however, shorter than I had expected. Also, when you sit down, the abdominal front part kinda bilows (probably because there is no fabric on the back to hold it in place). I really like this dress though and I got TONS of compliments. I just wish it was a bit longer in the waist.

fits like a glove -- so if you are at all self conscious of your midsection, i do not recommend this dress. the top is also tightly designed but the very top fabric rolls downward. id order a back up dress if planning to wear this one to something important.

LOVED this dress! I wore it to a friend's wedding and received many compliments. It was comfortable and gorgeous -- the sheer straps are elegant and feminine. Definitely dressy and long enough (came right above my knees) for a formal event. The bust area is slightly larger that I had expected, but it was fine with a strapless bra; I wore a size 4 and am a B/C cup. I would have worn the size 2 if I had ordered it (I ordered a size 4 and 6). I am 5'5" and 127 lbs. To give you a sense of the dress, the fabric is thick and made me feel more comfortable than, say, a silk, sheer, or clingy dress. I wish I owned this dress!!

I agree with the other review -- this dress is not the most comfortable to wear. Very cute on the hanger, but the very bottom is much narrower than the leg portion of the dress (which lends to awkward walking! I could not take a normal step in this dress, let alone go up stairs without looking awkward) and the bust/chest/torso area is also a squeeze (which means you won't be taking huge breaths in this dress). The fabric is a nice balance of a deep, classy black with flowers made of vibrant pink, grey, and white. I love the bust area and actually was not self-conscious about the bra-like look of it. If you are very thin (no hips, tummy, or chest), this may work better for you. I am of an athletic build and while the dress "fit," I've rented more comfortable and flattering dresses.

I was, sadly, not as impressed with this dress as the other reviews were. In fact, I did not wear it. The fabric has a lot of stretch and made me look "baggy" -- I don't know how else to put it. The picture makes the dress look formed at the top/bust, but it's more like swimsuit material/fitting and just follows your shape. I was hoping that it would be with more structure. It made me look much larger than I am, as a result.
