Perfect for an afternoon tea bridal shower!
We were having tea at the Drake in Chicago for my bridal shower (very iconic), so I wanted a dress to match the occasion. This one certainly did! The picture is terrible, I know (lighting was less than ideal for photos), but the dress really does have more shimmer to it than you anticipate (in a good way). Pockets are always a bonus, and were so great in this super full skirt. I ordered the 2 and 0 - went with the 2. The length is lovely, tastefully above the knee and definitely not too short for 3+ inch heels. Overall, a perfect choice for this occasion! (Ps. I saw that another reviewer said it works best with nude shoes - I beg to differ! I wore this with pink/salmon colored heels and silver and light teal jewelry and the colors looked so cute with it.)

Very unique and fun!
This dress was great for an evening wedding (though I did feel like I needed to throw on a shawl for the ceremony at a synagogue, even though it was not an orthodox ceremony - that's a LOT of exposed back!). I got TONS of compliments, including from the wait staff! Yet another chance to promote RTR. The dress fit much tighter and stretchier than I had expected. The 2 fit perfectly, but I felt like it was a little too tight and sexy for a wedding, so I went with the 4 to give myself a little more room and comfort (my fiance loved the way both sizes looked, but liked the 2 better since it was so tight and hugged my curves!). The 4 gapped a little in the back and at the shoulders, and wasn't snug at all in the waist, but still fit well enough. This dress certainly does ride up and I felt like I was constantly pulling it down or adjusting it, which is maybe the one negative. But otherwise, I liked it a lot!

Stunning earrings!
These were perfect with the Thakoon dress I wore for a June black tie wedding. They added a little extra glitz to the outfit and made the entire look that much more formal. They're definitely large, but they're actually not that heavy - they didn't hurt by the end of the night, and I never once worried about them falling off.

Gorgeous - so perfect for black tie June wedding.
I felt so elegant in this dress. The gorgeous drape in the back is very sexy. It does run somewhat large, as I am almost always a 2 and had to wear the 0L in this - though it is certainly not supposed to be fitted (except in the waist band). I'm 5'6" and in 3 inch heels this was the perfect length. I'm surprised by how casual they make this look in the picture - it is much more elegant and formal in person, and I felt perfectly appropriate at a black tie wedding. Part of the added drama is the very high slit in the skirt.. certainly do not plan on wearing a slip or spanx of any kind with this! (Though you don't need them, since the skirt is flowy and the dress is not see-through.) Also the waist band threads through the left side of the dress, so the back has an asymmetrical drape to it, which just makes it so unique and interesting. I highly recommend!

Gorgeous.
I wore these with the Sachin & Babi Orange Firefly Maxi, and they were perfect. They're large, but surprisingly NOT heavy - I wore them all night without really even noticing they were there, and my ears can get a little sensitive with heavy earrings. They look great with your hair up, though they might get lost if you have your hair down since they're so dark. Highly recommended!

Love. Perfect for a "black tie optional" Miami wedding.
I wore this to a "black tie optional" (most difficult dress code!) wedding in Miami, and it was perfect. As anticipated, no one seemed to know how to dress for this wedding - so people were in everything from black-tie formal to day-time cocktail dresses, and I fit nicely in the middle of that range, but loved being in bright, vibrant orange instead of a boring solid. I wore my hair in a sort of top-knot/bouffant and the Badgley Mischka Black Crystal Cluster Earrings, and I felt elegant and appropriate all night. I'm about 5'6" and I was wearing 3.5 inch heels - the dress was just off the floor, so the length was great (beware of gaps in the hemline - my heel caught in the hem once or twice while dancing and I narrowly avoided a couple disastrous falls!). I normally wear a 2 but the 2 wasn't available, so I rented the 0 and the 4. The 0 almost fit, but I would have had to forgo breathing all night, so I went with the 4. Since it was a little bigger and the top is structured but the skirt is not, it laid really nicely at the seam and didn't pucker or add volume at my waist/hips. I think the 2 would have worked perfectly and would not have required a bra - the 4 did (and I should add that the boning in the chest area was mangled when the dress arrived... I had to really work with it to avoid some crazy pointyness/lopsidedness!!). I also wore a half-slip because of sheerness issues, but it really wasn't noticeable. This is a very, very long way of saying: I loved everything about it (I just want to be as helpful as possible so others will rent it and love it too!). Sorry I don't have a full-length photo!

PERFECT necklace for a Roaring Twenties event - it made the outfit!
I wore this with the ADAM Gold Speck Tweed Dress for a Roaring Twenties benefit for work. The necklace was perfect, and got tons of compliments. While it was the perfect touch of pearls for my twenties look, I honestly would have worn it with many other looks! It's heavy, but not uncomfortable, and I though it laid really nicely, despite the multiple strands - I don't think it's supposed to be perfectly flat, and I liked it better when it looked a tad tangled. I was so sad to return this piece, as I would have loved to try it with non-twenties outfits!!!

Perfect for a Roaring Twenties Benefit!
I wore this for a Roaring Twenties benefit for work (attire was "cocktail" and/or period-appropriate). Although many styles from the twenties involve plunging necklines and exposed backs, this was a work event that I was attending with colleagues and bosses, so I wanted to be a bit more covered up. However, the drop waist was perfect, and made the look so authentic for the period. I also wore the 4, even though I'm typically a 2 - the 2 fit fine, but the 4 was more of a straight-line shift look, which was more authentic. The skirt has a fair amount of stretch, and for any other event the 2 would have looked great. I styled this with elbow-length black gloves and the Dress Me Up Necklace (which was SO perfect) - as well as a faux bob. Overall, it worked really well for the event! (Sorry for the selfie... all the pics from the event were too dark to see!)

Perfect dress for a fall bridal shower!
I wore this dress to an October bridal shower - it was perfect for the occasion. The dress fits slightly large - I probably could have gotten away with wearing a 0, though I'm typically a 2. However, the 2 fit nicely. I'm 5'6" and the dress hit me several inches above the knee, so it is not quite as long as it is described (although I do have pretty long legs for my height). It is also slightly more purple in person than I expected. It's a lovely color, but it's not the burgundy color I was anticipating!

Loved this - sad it's gone!
This dress was fabulous, and garnered compliments all night long. I was reading in a (Catholic) wedding so I wanted something that would be tasteful and not too revealing, but I loved the drama of the back of this dress. So classy, yet interesting. Where did this dress go??!
