The dress really fit to my figure. It was very comfortable and wasn't riding up at all. The dress runs small so normally I am a size 4 but I wore a size 6 in this dress but it was perfect! I tried it on at the Las Vegas store so I knew before I ordered it that it was the dress for me. I would totally recommend this to other people. 

The dress was exactly as I had expected from  other peoples reviews. I would describe the fabric as wetsuit fabric but I didn't find that a problem at all. The dress fit perfectly and I was extremely happy with my first rental. Will definitely rent again. Rented the bag too and it was perfect for the dress. 

It's hard to see the purple contrast details in person. Especially if you're out at night or in a dimly lit restaurant or party. Otherwise, it's still a nice classy dress!

I wore this dress to my engagement party at a swanky 1920's lounge.  The dress truly fit like a glove, and felt like one too!  I was planning to wear Spanx with it, but didn't need to because it was so fitted.  The dress was beautiful, but the sheen on it accentuated my mid-section in pictures... which I became fairly self-consious about.  

I really liked this dress online. When I got it at home, it was a gorgeous color and I couldn't wait to put it on. Once it was all zipped up and I was ready to go, I noticed it kept riding up and I had to keep pulling it down, which was the theme of the night. I also don't think the dress photographed well (all of the pictures are a bit unflattering). The dress also didn't breath well, so if you're going to be in warm weather, I'd recommend a different dress.

Got this for my try at home fit pack. Dress material is really like a wet suit. The dress might have been too tight, but it was riding up a lot when I was walking/moving around. Didn't end up wearing it. I thought the white seam at the front was much more obvious in person and overall I didn't love the dress. I wouldn't order it again.

Loved how 'binding' this dress was - thicker material so there was support - the pattern is subtle on the dark parts - didn't mind the line down the middle at all - very slimming - great w a jacket for work and then by itself for after-work cocktail hour

The material is thick and stretchy which makes the dress comfortable.  Unique design.  Appropriate for professional settings. 

This dress has been most favorite from RTR thus far.  It fit perfect and looked great! The material is great quality and I just loved the colors for a fall party.  

Loved everything about this dress.  Don't let the material (Scuba) description  fool you.  It's amazingly soft and comfortable.  The floral embellishment is beautiful!  I originally ordered size 0, but ended up wearing back up size 2 as the zero was just a smidge too tight for me and the neckline sat uncomfortably higher.  The size 2 fit like a glove!!!  No riding up at all, comfortable to sit in for several hours.   Thanks RTR for the free back up size.  It was sad to return such a fun, unique dress.   would definitely rent again.

The dress fabric was a little thick and the neck came up hight. The detail stitching made it fit strange but was easy to move in. 

Ordered this dress last minute for NYE to wear out to a club. I ordered a size 8 without a backup. It was a perfect fit. I have an hourglass shape with a long torso so bodycon style dresses rarely fit me well. It was really comfortable and warm too. The material is almost like a wet-suite. My photo doesn't do the dress justice. I would definitely order this again for a winter or fall cocktail party, wedding etc. I wish this dress came in other graphic patterns.

Good fit, was a bit loose on the top, but overall the dress made a positive statement.  Good stretchy material that was comfortable, too.

This was a fun dress to wear. It is designed to hug your body and it is almost like wearing  a Spanx dress. It keeps everything in place. I got tons of compliments as it looks great in a sea of little black dresses. I felt it ran a bit small. I did have to pull it down a few times but other than that, it was  a great rental experience. 

this dress i rented through the unlimited rent the runway program.  I used this to go to court.  It's a great substitute for a suit.  I am sick of wearing a suit everyday of my life and this dress, worn with a blazer, is just as formal but has a kick of modern and sexy to it.

Very comfortable to wear with lots of stretch, lovely print, and versatile look for either office or date. 

RTR sent this dress to me free of charge when one of the dresses I originally rented was suddenly unavailable (through no fault of RTR).  What an amazing dress!  It fit me perfectly.  I ended up wearing it instead of the dress I'd rented as my "1st choice".  It fit perfectly, and the thick, scuba-like material was wicking and surprisingly breathed well during an extremely hot outdoor wedding (it reminded me of wearing thick athletic compression gear).  I will certainly rent this dress again - thanks RTR!!!

Great fit, great material. Hugged body at the right places and was very slimming. The length was longer on me then in the picture, but I thought it actually worked better longer. The cut at the top was perfect for me or someone who has athletic arms. 

Fits pretty snug. I usually wear a size 0, but the 2 was perfect and felt more appropriate (and not too tight/short) for such an event. The dress is beautiful and flattering, but it definitely hugs every curve so you may want to consider spanx or avoid when bloated!

minus 1 star bc i kept having to pull the dress down every time i got up.  very comfortable!

I wore this for a memorial service for my mother paired with a purple cardigan. Held up all night through hours of hugs. It was very comfortable. The scuba fabric lives up to its name.

Size up. I wear between a 2 and 4 and the size 4 was tight. This is a dress that has no give and is hard to move in. Don't wear it for a dancing event. It was okay- nothing special. I wouldn't rent it again. 

I wore this to a rehearsal dinner. It was very flattering and beautiful. Like others have said it rides up when you sit, or walk. I wish it would have been more easy to wear!! 

Ended up not wearing this dress because it bunched around the waist and rode up. Looked great standing perfectly still, though! The material is fun and different, so I was disappointed not to wear. As another reviewer pointed out, the seams are very obvious, but that did not bother me. 

This dress was my first "miss" on Rent the Runway after a couple of years of renting.  I rented it for a semi-formal wedding reception.  The dress looked awesome in person, and I liked the fabric and pattern.  "Scuba sheath" sums it up--it felt like wetsuit material, which I thought was pretty unique and fun.  I was excited that I wouldn't have to wear a strapless bra, either.  When I put it on, however...oh boy.  I learned quickly that my stride would be reduced to what I could only describe as small, penguin-like steps (the bottom of the dress had very little give).  I was willing to make that concession.  As soon as I took my first little penguin steps, however, the dress started moving all over the place.  I should point out, I'm an athletic build--small chested, flat stomach, somewhat muscley legs.  This dress started to bunch up because of the seams at the hip/waist area (zoom in on the stock pic of the dress, and you can see where the seams are).  I realized I'd be spending the whole night tip-toeing and pulling this dress down.  No bueno.  Maybe it's the fact that my thigh muscles have a greater circumference than my waist.  Maybe it's the material.  Maybe it's the placement of the seams.  I'm not the girliest girl, and I was not going to resort to some drastic measures to make it work.  I didn't wear it.  :(  In short: if you're planning to just stand there and look pretty, this dress will be just fine.  If you're a mover and a shaker, move and shake your way to a different style.
The silver lining:  This dress did run true to size, but I like having the backup size just in case.  RTR didn't have a backup size available, so I ordered a backup style--which worked out perfectly and I absolutely adored it (the Nicole Miller Such a Duchess dress).  


The material is similar to a wetsuit, so if you're serious about this dress you might consider accessorizing with a snorkel and flippers! The bodice is very wide and makes for a very conservative fit. The length was to the knee. The seams are also unusual.

I rented this dress as a backup since the dress I wanted didn't have my backup size available. I ended up wearing my original dress but loved them both. I rented last minute and there was very little inventory available. I was surprised I liked this dress so much, would have been perfect for a party, banquet, wedding or cocktail party. It is a bit on the warm side (scuba like material) so maybe don't wear unless there is good temperature control. It felt edgier on than in the pictures and fit great!

I was very happy with this dress- it fit true to size, the fabric had a great stretch as well as some support since it's thicker. I wore it with flats for a daytime function but it would be very sexy with heels as well!

 Very nice fabric, thick and stretchy.  The midsection bunches up so I had to keep pulling the dress down.  Definitely feel sexy in it.  

I wore this dress for an interview and was complimented by my interviewer. It's a fun/gorgeous dress but was slightly larger than I typically like my dresses to be.

I bought this for a holiday business cocktail party.  Based on what people were saying I bought a 6 and 8 instead of a 4 and 6, like I usually do.  They were right.  The 6 fit really well and I think it fit as the maker wanted it: tight.  But since I was going to a business event, I didn't want it to be that tight, so I ended up wearing the size 8.  Because the dress was a little roomier (but not too big), I didn't get the riding up issue that others mentioned.  The fabric is like a neoprene but a little thinner.  It was a great dress and I thought I looked good.  (Sorry, I took a picture and accidentally deleted it.)
