When I first tried it I thought it was way too big. However, once I added a belt and a pair of boots, the outfit took shape. In the end I loved the look but beware the dress is very long and I’m 5’5”. Also, the buttons snap out fairly easily on the skirt when moving around or sitting. It was manageable but because of that, I would order your normal size to move freely and just cinch the waist with a belt. I wonder how the smaller size would fit but my concern is the buttons would open up even more as some reviews mention. All in all, I enjoyed this piece very much!

Shoulders are a little big while everything else fit perfect. The buttons on the legs would pop each time I sat down but I got so many compliments on this one.

As other reviews said it only looks good with belt 

Long and lean, this cotton black dress is thin and unlined. Add a belt to create shape, or lean into the relaxed version as I did. The snaps are easily popped open, as I bent over or kneeled down and I spent much of my day re-snapping them. 

I wore this buttoned all the way up and with boots. I did wear a slip underneath should the snaps opened, but I received so many compliments last night from men + women which says a lot about how unique this dress is. 

You have to add accessories to it in order to accentuate how it’s a crazy shirt/dress. 

The material is a nice thick cotton which is my ultimate favorite. 



This was a pretty thick fabric all around, but a shirt dress all the same. It had pockets too but felt it just didn't do much for me. I even tried belting and it still wasn't great. Could be great for Rodeo!

Although this dress gives me Morticia Addams western vibe it’s a pretty OK dress. It’s nothing spectacular although I got a few compliments, the top part was a little too big. You for sure must wear a belt otherwise it just looks like you are wearing a shapeless dress. And I mean shapeless!

Definitely needs a belt, otherwise it is a rectangle. Heavy fabric that attracts all lint. I liked it for one wear, but can't say I would rent again. 


Decided to wear this to Prada Mode with a Prada belt, since I needed to go straight from work to the event. Unfortunately, as everyone else has stated, it bunches up pretty badly due to not having belt loops; wearing a belt is non-negotiable. The dress somehow catches more lint than a literal lint roller, and even in my brand new home, it was catching dust that I didn’t know was in the air with every step I took. I ended up bringing packing tape with me so I could use it instead of a lint roller, and had to use our office's mini steamer to steam the dress twice during the day because it wrinkles so badly… it was BEYOND frustrating. I’ve literally never worn any item of clothing like that; I was constantly messing with the dress and it put quite a damper on my night. But it did photograph beautifully and it was long enough in the arms and dress length for my nearly 6’ tall frame. Also, contrary to other reviewer's complaints, I did not have an issue with the buttons; they stayed closed for me all day & night. On no planet is this dress worth $745. This is best left for photo shoots and not much more beyond that, unfortunately. Excited for a different brand to take a stab at this and do it correctly because it really is a cute dress in theory.

I ordered a 6P and it was huge on me. Also, I didn't find it very flattering. It looks like a burqa from the back. I tried adding a western belt to it like in the photos to give it some shape. Just totally huge and not my style. 

This dress is great with cowgirl boots and belt.

I jazzed it up with some jeans underneath and unbuttoned it up until the belly button . I basically wore it as a shirt. 

Sooo long!!  Even with heels on!! However a little baggy, might need to size down. 

Almost bought this one. I wore it with a black and silver belt, and it made an effortless western statement! 

Felt like a box in this - 100% needs a belt and buttons pop open very easily - wear shorts or something underneath so you don't expose yourself in public! 

Paired with cowboy boots and lots of accessories. It's a good base piece

Looks stunning buttoned up to the neck with a little leg showing below. However, know that the snaps are not very secure.

First, it was wrinkled and linty. Second, when ironed, I wore it to a party with a cinched belt waist, and it worked, but then there's a lot of fabric under the belt, blousing out around the butt. Maybe I needed a smaller size?

Needs a belt and a mini dress underneath for when the snaps pop open. But felt like a fashion girl

I am 5'3, and this was way too long, even with a belt. This would be a fun dress if you were going to a western event otherwise you might feel a little silly.

This was actually a nice look but if I sit, the snaps will pop right open!  I am between 4/6 and went with a 4L.  Length was great but these hips don't lie, honey!  Tall / narrow ladies will love this one.  Definitely need to pair with a belt.  Otherwise - total flop.  Quality fabric (not the most comfortable, imo).  The shoulders are very defined, in a good way.  

Make sure you wear a slip underneath bc the snaps come undone easily. Frumpy without a belt!

I have a pear shaped body so it fit great when I was standing up but every time I sat down, some buttons would pop open. I also could've gone with the tall version and maybe that would've helped?

Styled with a belt but this was still quite boxy.
