Fit is TTS. A little loose but better that than too tight, especially with the ruching in the middle. Great Fall/Winter print. Much better IRL than expected. Rent this. You won’t regret it.

With an hourglass figure, the shirtdress is my go-to for the office and beyond. I’ve bought variations of this style by Veronica Beard and I’m never disappointed.

Style
The collared, button-down style also features ruching at the center for an ultra-flattering fit that accentuates curves. The buttons can be done or undone by the wearer to fit their taste.

Material 
The dress is 93% silk with spandex blended in which means that there is a touch of stretch to the fabric and it doesn’t cling or bunch in awkward places.

Color
Is a very deep forest green making this dress ideal for autumn and winter.

Warmth
The dress is unlined and the material is a silk blend - meaning this isn’t the warmest dress and if you may want a base layer - because the material stretches, you won’t look like a sausage.

If I didn’t already own similar dresses, I’d buy this.

The kind of dress that looks like a lot of effort but is easy. Wore to a work conference. Nice material, very comfortable and forgiving.

Fit was wonderful. It really enhanced my figure.

Great work item, perfect for public speaking as it was comfortable, secure, and both flattering but not tight. Worked very well on my curves, full bust, and narrower hips. 

Why don’t all designers make a button down dress where there is a zipper behind the buttons so you have the look but not the peekaboo problem?!?  Genius!  Super flattering as well.  Stretchy material.  Only wish the color and pattern were a bit more exciting.

I could go between the 2 or 4.  Looks great on and depends on how you like your fit.  

I sized down on this dress.  It is very thin but drapes the body nice.  I typically don’t wear patterns but this is a nice subtle one.  

I wish I rented in the fall the colors felt too dark for spring. Solid fit just a little long. I liked this one a lot. I’m a true 4 and the 2 was great. 

This dress could be great, but it just wasn't right on me--I did not wear it.  The construction is clever and features functional buttons above the waist and at the knee, but a zipper with non-functional buttons between waist and knee.  This is good because it prevents gapping around the hips and thighs.  Nice design!  But for me it just wasn't flattering around my butt.  The material has a lot of give.  The cut runs large for a size 2.  The pattern on the green background is attractive.

Ran a little bit big. Truthfully, I was hoping for more. I felt a little frumpy (perhaps a smaller size would have solved for that). I wore it to an indoor rodeo with shorty boots. It was cute enough.

I could have styled it for work (blazer over, perhaps)but I had to send it back.

Pros: comfy and a great work option

was going to wear with boots but ended up with pumps that matched the color in the dress.  Can easily dress down with riding boots or brown suede boots.

The dress was a little roomy but if it was too tight/ small it would have been not the right fit!

This dress is so worth it. It’s so beautiful and flattering. Head turner!

I sized down to a 4. It fit well. Very flattering. I got lots of compliments. The material also feels great! You can tell it's high quality.

This one probably one of my fave rentals. The silk is beautiful with a stretchy flexibility and the center ruching is very flattering. I tried to buy it until I saw the buy price. Will definitely be a fave rental.

Very flattering dress! A bit big in the waist, but incredibly versatile. Wore for date night and to the office. 10/10 recommend, got many compliments!

Wore to a formal work event and it is so beautiful and comfortable. The ruching is so flattering and the color is gorgeous. Worked well for a larger chest (where other button down items would usually gap). I wish I could own this one!

Stylish and bodycon fit while being more of a conservative style. Great for work without being boring. I found it to be a bit loose on me, I wish I had sized down one size.

Fit is long. I am 5'2. Wore with heels and it looked great.

This dress felt pretty luxurious. I don’t think the ruching was all that flattering on my post-baby bod. Would be cute if you were trying to emphasize a bump though. 

Cute and flattering but the buttons popped open at the busy and above the knees.

Fits beautiful at first but throughout the day the seam in the middle will slide to the side and buttons easily come undone

The way it gathers at waist made me look pregnant

This dress was a bit large and frumpy on me.

This was pretty but was like wearing gauze. So thin and not appropriate for winter (or even fall) weather.
