Just a little snug for a 4 but so pretty. Great for vacation, date night or even dress up for work. 

I wore this to a black tie event. The material is cotton - so I was a hesitant it would be fancy enough. However, you couldn’t really tell unless you were close up - and I received lots of compliments. I could have worn the size 2 but the slip on the size 4 was separated from the dress making it easier to put on. I loved this dress from one of my favorite designers. 

The only issue with this dress is the slip moves around quite a bit but otherwise I loved it! 

This dress is cute, but wasn’t what I was looking for as a possible black dress for an event. Luckily it was rather warm in NYC in early October, so I was able to wear it twice for casual kick around days with sneakers. I probably won’t rent again because I don’t have a need for those types of dresses. But it is very cute on.

Beautiful and fully lined on the inside. Was a bit tight on the bust for me but the waist was perfect. Very slimming. 

I wore this dress for multiple occasions - so versatile and could easily dress up or down. 

Fit as expected, super lovely! As mentioned in other reviews the liner dress could be a little aggravating to get on but otherwise totally perfect 

I love this dress. Sometimes long black dresses can feel heavy, but this one is light and airy due to the sheer layer over the slip. When I first tried it I wasn’t sure if it would fit my bust, but it did and felt great; not too tight. 
For work I just pulled up the slip in the front and that worked to cover the cleavage. If I was wearing to a party I would just leave it as is and have a really deep V neck. Sexy and sophisticated. 
Veronica Beard is so well made. The fabrics are luxe and feel expensive. 

This dress is gorgeous. Rent it! Can be day or night.

So pretty and flattering for work. It’s really long though so something to consider 

I was looking for a petite with the concern it would be too long for my height, even with heels. The length on the regular size was just right. I did not wear a bra which worked out well. I usually wear a size 8 in dresses as I am size 8 top and a 4/6 bottom. Grateful that the size 6 worked out.

Really nice cut to the dress, obviously high quality. It was a little hard to get on and off with the liner, which had no stretch. Very flattering on.

I got sooo many compliments on this dress! Super flattering on. The slip is separate from the dress & it has a side zipper. I have a larger chest so was a little concerned it would be tight in the top but it’s a perfect fit with no bra!

I’m not big up top (36C) but this barely fit me. I liked the dress, but as the day went on, thought it was a little frumpy and got zero compliments. 

Absolutely loved this dress! Very classy. 

There is always that one dress that keeps you up at night for not purchasing. This is mine. Truly a beautiful piece that received so many compliments. A must rent 

I feel like it doesn’t picture well but I’ve worn this many times to work.  I love it.  Super elegant.  True to size.  I didn’t really have an issue with the slip like everyone else.   You just pull it down underneath the dress and it’s fine. 

Overall, this dress fit perfectly. Even though I’m petite I decided to go with the regular length because I felt it would look better with heels. The eyelet fabric is gorgeous and the waist is tapered perfectly. I decided not to wear it for this particular event because the fabric was a little heavier than I thought. However, I will definitely rent this again.

Love this dress. Didn’t wear it as it has been so hot outside but cannot wait to show it off. It’s quite long, and the zipper is hard to find but it’s there. 


I wore this for a more dressy work event. It was perfect. Easy to move in, and such great quality. I might buy it. It’s a great closet staple!!

Dress was a bit difficult to get into as the side zipper doesn’t unzip all the way, and the lining is attached at the shoulder. So one must dive in from the bottom and shimmy everything down. Thought it was too tight over my chest at first, but one I got the under layer situated, it was actually the perfect size.  No stretch, but kept everything in and smoothed. Would rent again. 

Many many compliments at a barbecue joint rehearsal dinner. First time I have gone without sleeves in many many years, lots of coverage at the shoulders enabled that. It’s a lot of fabric in the skirt, and the full length cotton slip under dress makes getting this on pretty difficult, but it is so worth it!

Could not love this more! Fabulous weight and feel to the material. Great for taller ladies, especially if wearing flats. Will definitely rent again.

Had to wear with a heel and was still grazing the ground but is so gorgeous and fits very well 

I loved wearing this dress. It was very flattering. It was hard to put on because the under slip is attached to the dress and it took a while to figure out where my arms go through. Side zipper. 

I really liked this dress. Quality material and lays well.  My only gripe is that the underlayer was a little annoying to get on....but once it was on, I loved it.

I find sizes with this brand to run very small, so I ordered up for this dress and I would NOT recommend. The next time I order I will try my standard size, there is no way to shorten the straps, and it is very long (and I am tall).

Loved, loved, looooved the dress. It fit like a glove and was so flattering. The detail in the dress is so striking. Hard to appreciate from a picture-you need to see it in real life. Length will be a problem depending on your height.
