The fit was nice everywhere and photographed well. There were a few worn areas where strings were sticking out from missing sequins but could only be seen on close inspection. Still happy with this choice!

Perfect fit!

I rented this dress for my bachelorette party and couldn't be happier. I am a size 12 but had read the other reviews and ordered a 12 and a 10. The 12 was too big up top so I went with the 10. Looking back through photos, I thought the dress was incredibly flattering, and it sparkles all night! Be prepared that this thing is COVERED in sequins, so put anti-rub stick (or clear deodorant) along your biceps/triceps as soon as you get in it, otherwise your arms will be all cut up. This was my first RTR experience, and I immediately ordered another dress for my rehearsal dinner after packing this one up (which I was sad to do).

Fits really well - a little lose on top but perfect through hips and good length. Color is great and sparkles are super fun. The side clasps which is fought with the rental scene (gets a little worn down) so I reinforced with safety pins and had no problems. I don't have super sensitive skin but my arms were scratched the next day (not super noticeable) so the dress does come with battle wounds - but also awesome memories.

A little late on reviewing for my New Year's dress, but rented this Trina Turk & absolutely loved it! Like all of the other reviewers, the only negative is how itchy the sequins near the arms are - but I paired this with a black leather jacket, since Pittsburgh is freezing, and they didn't bother me again after that. Also, this does run very large - I ordered the 4 and hesitated with the backup size of 2, but actually ended up wearing the size 2. (I am a normal size 4 but pushing a size 6 nowadays) so definitely size down for this. Otherwise, loved the pattern of the sequins for the night!

I am usually a 6, sometimes a 4 and the 4 was definitely better. It fits well and is comfortable. I wore it to pre-party, long event and after-party at a Hollywood event and it was great. Lots of looks and a few compliments. One guy came across the room to praise the color. The gold is gorgeous. I noticed the sequins scratching my underarm a bit a couple of times, but no big deal unless you're sensitive. I also rented the suggested bracelet and it's gorgeous. Also, in the picture, the light is reflecting so it looks like I have a poochy stomach, but it didn't look like that in person.

The dress runs true-to-size. Goes great with black or gold accessories. Has a little stretch/give. Definitely recommend it!

This dress fit so well in all the right areas. I couldn't tell from the RTR photo online, but the entire dress is covered in gold and back sequins! It was the perfect dress for my birthday party celebration during Bellevue Fashion Week 2012. The only con with the dress is the sequins rubbing against my skin on my arms leaving light marks throughout the night.

I thought this dress was great for a NYE party! The sequins are really pretty in person and the pic on the model doesn't do them justice! I wore the dress with black tights and heels since it was so cold. It just didn't seem to do anything for me without a belt, but when I added one I was really pleased with the way it looked. The sequins do hurt and my arm was a little sore the next day, but nothing too terrible!

I loved the dress it was easy to dress down with the cuff. I also rented the cuff pictured on the model . The material is scratch as the others have stated but I only wore it for 3 hours so it wasn't that big of a deal. I would have worn the 4 but it was a little short . The 4 fit better in the bust and waist but I had to go with the 6 for length. Definitely order you regular size and size down for back up.

Dress looked great; a little big in the chest/armpit area. Instead of a full side zipper, there were hook & eyes from the waist up to the side which would come unclipped - to keep them clipped, I had to pull the dress down which took away from the waist which is supposed to be a bit folded over. The sequins were gorgeous but also a little uncomfortable when sitting down. Overall, great look for my 30th birthday, just a tad uncomfortable...I will definitely rent again!

The dress really is so sparkly and looks great in photos. I ordered an 8 with a back up size 6. I tried on both and realized that they were too big! I contacted RTR and they were so helpful and immediately sent out size 4 to the hotel we were staying at. I still ended up wearing the 6 for a bit more comfort and ease of movement but it was nice to have the option since I was between sizes. RTR was so nice and helpful, the customer service was great. One con was although the sequins are pretty they scratched under my arm and the backs of my upper thighs from sitting on them. I had visible scratches for a few days.

This dress is sequined, which you can't really tell online. It is really beautiful in person. It runs a little large but I didn't mind the fit! I got a lot of compliments and really loved it.

Wore this for NYE 2014. Very glam, and perfect for the night. Got many compliments! The dress itself ran a bit large - even with the size 2 I had to fashion tape the neckline on to my skin (kept sliding down and exposing my bra). The only downside was that the sequins were very abrasive and left scratches on the inside of my arms. But it was worth it!

Very flattering and sexy. ONE warning- the sequins will scratch you, and if you're close to other people, it will scratch them as well. Pain for beauty? ;)

Runs big. I usually wear a 2, but even the 0 was a little loose on me. Not as form fitting as I would have liked, but overall it was still a good dress and comfortable enough to dance in!

A little loose in the bust, but otherwise fit fine. The only part of the dress I didn't like was there is no zipper on the side of the dress, it has about five clips instead. They sometimes would come undone and that was annoying. I have long hair and it would get caught on the sequins but other than that the dress was awesome! Would rent again.

I loved this dress ! It's knit so it stretches well and is soft on the inside. The top was a little loose on me and I had to pin it, but that probably just depends on bust size. The length was not too short. My only problem with this was how the sequins cut under my arms. I was dancing all night at a wedding so I probably had more abrasion than someone at a cocktail party etc., but, I woke up with very sore underarms and actual scratches under my arms. Only reason I wouldn't rent again!

I wore this dress for my friend's bachelorette party. It runs large, is pretty stretchy and is a generally easy silhouette for most body types. Like others mentioned, it is itchy, but it didn't bother me that much. The main problem I had with the dress was regarding the closure. There was a zipper from the waist down, and hook and eye closures in the bodice. The hooks were pretty worn out and many wouldn't stay put. I ended up using fashion tape to keep the dress together :/ Overall a fun, sparkly dress, but not one that I would consider renting twice.

Fit is a little loose, but that's the overall look. Loved how shiny and pretty it was! Was a great look for a black-tie holiday dinner and cocktail party.

I thought the reviews as far as fit were spot on - I expected the 0 to fit or be slightly big, and it was. I didn't even bother trying on the size 2. I have a large bust and it fit perfectly over that, and was a pretty good length. Cons: Some reviewers said they didn't bother them, but I thought the sequins were awful. The next day, the undersides of my arms were covered in dozens of red scratches and the skin was swollen as though with a horrible razor burn. It hurt! There is only a zipper up to your waist - the rest of the way fastens with tiny hook and eye closures. These were loose and not very secure, and you could see the lining in the gapes between. Not as polished as a full zipper would have been (what I'd expected). The material is heavy - definitely covered with actual sequins. A bit too winter-y for the summer event I wore it to - perfect for Xmas or NYE parties though. Also, the sequins do catch on your hair, so best for an updo or you're constantly pulling your hair to the side to keep from snagging. The waist felt boring and not particularly flattering, so I added a belt - I think that helped the look a LOT. Pro: I could wear a strapless bra with convertible straps - I had both straps loop over the one shoulder, and only needed one safety pin to make sure the bra strap didn't peek out on my chest. I felt a lot more secure and comfortable wearing the straps with my strapless bra, and loved that they were so well hidden. Other than the hook and eye closures, the rest of the dress was in great condition - no missing sequins. I could tell it had been worn before, but was in perfect condition. I wore this dress to my sorority formal, and it looked great for the event. However, I was disappointed with the overall fit of the dress. I thought the elastic waistband and one-shoulder would make it comfortable, but it just made it large and slouchy. I have a small bust, so the top was very baggy - fashion tape was definitely needed to keep it from drooping! I would suggest this dress for someone with a larger bust. The dress was good for moving and dancing though. Also, when I received the dress, one of the hook-and-eye closures was falling off so I had to resew it, which was a little frustrating...

I received several compliments on the dress, I liked it but I would say it was not super flattering for my stomach. I felt huge the whole night.

I rented this dress for my Golden 25th Birthday! I was so happy to finally have a reason to use RTR! The dress runs very large. I wore a size 10 but an 8 would have been best! The length was way past the knee. I styled this dress with a necklace, the recommended RTR bangles and a pair of Jeffery Campbell black Lita heels. Also, I was very irritated with the sequences that ran under my left arm. They were scratching and itchy. Marks left me hurting in the morning. Overall it was a pretty dress but I would not rent it again. Had the dress fit me a little better I would give it another star. However, It was fitting for my occasion.

I was an honorary bridesmaid in a wedding and needed a gold dress. This one was perfect HOWEVER do not rent if you like to dance the night away. The dress ended up rubbing my under arms raw, it hurt so bad. Other than that, looked great in pictures.

I wore this in vegas and it was perfect! The sequins will scratch you some under the arm but you can solve that but covering those sequins with clear tape -- sounds bizarre but works and nobody will ever notice.

I wore this dress for a NYE's party and I loved it! It was the perfect party dress because even though it was shorter, it didn't ride up at all and it didn't feel too revealing. It runs a bit small and I was able to wear the size 2. The only downside to this dress is that the sequins can be scratchy, but it wasn't a huge deal. Would definitely rent again.

I rented this for a small birthday party that my friends threw for me. It was the perfect amount of sparkle, but the black sequins made it less over the top. As others have said - the sequins hurt & are quite scratchy. Based on other sequined dresses I have worn, this is par for the course. But be aware. And yes - the closure at the top is weird. difficult to keep closed - I recommend having someone help you use some fashion tape under the hook & eye closures. I did that and felt secure in it all night with no gaping, however, it was kind of annoying to need to do that.

I was looking for a dress that wasn't skin tight and that would pair well with black tights (to cover winter white legs!). This was a great winter party dress. By the end of the night your left arm will be rubbed raw and you will likely need fashion tape if you have a A or B bust.

This dress was a little big on the top in my normal 8, so I went with the 6. The dress fit more snug than the picture shows because I sized down. I loved it though! I felt glamorous and sparkly all night long! The dress is pretty heavy and is covered in sequins so it rubs your arms a little bit. Otherwise it is great!

I wore this dress to a holiday party and loved it. I ended up sizing down to the smaller of the sizes, because the top is a bit billowy, and the smaller size stayed in place a bit better. My only complaint was that the sequins under the bare arm scratched me quite a bit--but the dress was fun and festive, so I was willing to endure a little scratching!

One complaint about this dress is that the sequins hurt! They scratched my arms and neck to the point where I had marks the next day (and I typically don't have super sensitive skin). If this wasn't an issue the dress would have been really comfortable.

The dress runs a bit big. I ended up wearing the size down. The only downside to this dress was that the sequins were a bit scratchy at the neck and where my arms rested at my sides. By the end of the night my arms had little red marks on them from where my skin was irritated by the sequins. All in all, the dress looked amazing and I received many compliments throughout the night.

This was not my idea dress, and not a shape I usually am comfortable wearing, but I wanted something gold and reasonably priced so I could rent it for 8 days using my birthday credit. I'll chalk it up to my own bad haircut and no real definable waistline on the dress, but I changed out of it halfway through our NYE party. There's nothing really wrong with the dress, besides a little irritation under my left arm from the sequins. Just wasn't the dress for me!

The dress was perfect for a disco theme bday party I wore yet to. Revived tons of compliments! I wish I had ordered a smaller size, the dress had lots of room. The sequins kept scratching me which made the dress uncomfortable and left a hue welt under my arm. Ah the price of beauty.

The dress fit true to size and was beautiful on. However, the gold sequence under the arms scratched me raw and unfortunately, I ended the night early just so I could get out of the dress and give my underarms a rest.

This dress was really comfortable, but had some issues. The hook and eye closure on the size 12 was in perfect condition. The size 10, not so much. Even with tape, the black lining was still a bit visible. Also, several strings were poking out, which I had to trim down so they weren't so obvious. All of that aside, the dress looked great, stayed on well, and was good for dancing! Also, I would like to thank RTR for the amazing customer service!

I didn't actually end up wearing this dress because once I received it I did not like the fit or the material. In the picture it looks like a light weight dress but in reality (as some of the other reviews point out), its actually a very thick material dress. It also has sequins all over it and they are hard feeling and dig into your skin. The fit for me was also off with the size 4 being good for my lower half but not my top half (I have a small bust though so it was loose). So overall not great for me but does look great on other girls in the review pics so decided to try it but didn't work out. On a good note though, the return and refund process was completely seamless. as always RTR has great customer service which I really appreciate so will definitely keep renting. ;-)
