The small fit nicely but the sleeves were too short. I am about 5'4" and this tunic-style dress was too short to wear without leggings. Got lots of compliments. Wore to professional meetings and a casual evening fundraiser.  The material was very comfortable  and thick enough to hide imperfections. 

I wore this dress as a tunic with thick black leggings!  Unfortunately, this dress is just incredibly short.  I sized up and it was still way way too short to wear as a dress.  At 5'9" this dress was even short as a tunic.  That said, it's an amazing piece of clothing!  It's a beautiful purple and it lays nicely on the body.  I got many compliments!  I would recommend this to taller girls as a tunic with leggings, and to shorter girls as a dress with black tights.  

The fact that this dress comes in a Petite size is a god send! The sleeves are the best part of the dress, very loose and cute. 

I knew after reading other reviews that I was going to wear this as a tunic rather than a dress. The larger size was too big and hung strangely. The medium, while form fitting, was actually more flattering. The material was also heavier than expected. I liked it, but it has not been my favorite RTR rental so far. I would definitely recommend as tunic only. Even the large stopped so closely to my bottom that I (in no way possible) could have moved without exposing things. 

This was a beautiful dress that was perfect for my birthday. RTR provides incredible customer service. Thanks for all that you do! Your stylists are incredible!

I don't think I've ever had a dress fit as perfect as this. I'm 5'9" and most stuff is too short. This was the perfect length. Also I have broad shoulders and I had no issues with it being too tight.

I rented the medium and the small for a backup.  I wore the small because it flattered better.  I have a tendency to buy clothing too big so this two size option is great for me.  I wore the dress with black tights and black knee boot.  Looked great and was very comfortable.  The only negative was we got caught in the rain and it shows rain spot really dark until dry.  Would rent this dress again.

This dress is very classy - I got a lot of complements on how chic & classy I looked. I paired it with 4" silver/grey heels. I'm 5'5", and the Medium hits 3/4 thigh for me. I tried the Small (as backup), and though it fit better up top, it was really short, meaning if I just slightly bend over to sign the guest book, all would be revealed. The style is very flattering, and you can wear a regular bra - which is great not having to deal with too much fuss with undergarments. 

This dress was perfect for my event.  I loved the sleeves and the length, while a bit short, was fun.  The color was great in the winter!  RTR is a great service that I can't wait to use again.

This is dress is perfect for us straight and narrows.  The fabric is just weighty enough to create a nice line, but not too heavy.  The sleeves have elastic, so you can push them up if you'd like.  This dress can be very casual, and it is so easy to wear.  Loved it.

 While I had some shipping issues the dress looked very nice. The service that I received from RTR was fantastic! I am looking forward to renting from them again. It is so fun and now I can say they will work with you no matter what!


Great dress, although my true size was very short. If you are under 5'7, you may pull it off well. 

An easy fit and a beautiful color. I wear a size 6 normally and should have ordered a S as medium is slightly loose for my taste. super comfy dress

I wore this dress to a luncheon during the day and a casual fundraiser at night. It's long enough to wear to the office and cute enough to wear in the evening. It runs pretty true to size, but maybe slightly to the smaller end. I weigh 128 and wore the medium.

This dress is an easy fit and the silhouette is loose. I wore the size Small and it looked great! Perfect for a night out, date or dinner with friends

This is more a tunic than dress.   Wore with leggings and boots and was perfect.  If you are looking for a dress this is not for you barely covered my backside.   Great as tunic.  Color was beautiful.  Perfect for fall

Overall, this dress was a winner!  The inner lining didnt lay as flat as I would have liked, but that was not noticeable to anyone else but me.   The elastic wristband was great as it allowed me to wear the sleeves as 3/4 length (I have long arms and the sleeves otherwise would have looked short.   LOVE this dress and will be ordering more from RTR in the future!

I rented this dress for a work meeting. It was comfortable and I felt great in it. The elastic bands on the arms cut off my circulation a little, but over all a very nice dress.

I wore this dress while I was pregnant to a wedding got tons of compliments.

I originally rented this dress for my work holiday party, but ended up wearing it for my husband's 30th birthday party because it was SO SHORT. I had to wear leggings with it because it was basically a tunic on me, and I'm not that tall! Otherwise I found it to fit TTS, and got a lot of compliments on my cute "top", but anyone over 5'3" should look elsewhere. 

I wore this dress to a Friday night NYPhil concert with opaque black tights and booties!  I am between a medium and a large, so chose the large, however, I wish I had rented the Medium.  I was comfortable, but the M would have hugged my body instead of the 60s shift look I had.  The plum is a beautiful color.  I found the sleeves to be a bit odd, the elastic wrist makes them a bit floppy, so I wore them pushed up.  Overall, it was a comfortable dress that I would wear again (in my size).

Got this one because I had (sadly) burned my arm cooking and needed a dress to cover the bandages for my cousin's engagement party.  Even uncle Hugh the family priest did not notice the bandages through the dress (although my eagle eye mother in law did--nothing escapes her) so I considered it over all a success!

This dress is very pretty. Fits well except that it is super short. You will definitely want to wear solid tights with this. 

This dress is perfect for a daytime event or maybe a date night.  I rented it for luncheon, but if you're looking for something more formal or even cocktail attire this isn't the dress. I'm 5'1", so I didn't have the trouble others had with it being too short. Wear thick tights and you will be OK. 

I rented the S and M and did not end up wearing either. I might have worn the Small but it was oddly small, like very short arms (I'm usually a 0 or 2) and the Medium was huge, the difference between the two sizes was staggering. I might have worn the Small anyway, despite its odd proportions on me, but the weather didn't cooperate and the dress didn't pop enough to wear it despite its flaws.

I wouldn't call this a dress.  Its more of a tunic unless you are petite.  It's cute but I had to wear it with leggings.  It fell just below my hip bones and did not completely cover my butt.  

I ended up not wearing the dress however it was quite comfortable and sized perfectly for my body.  The only con would be the sleeve length, too short.  They fell about half an inch above my wrist and due to the sleeve construction it didn't aesthetically work pushed up.  However, the dress was a great material if needed to be packed and a perfect weight for fall or winter chilly nights.

I am 5'7" tall and this dress was WAY too short, so short that when I lifted my arms up my rear-end showed.  Also, the sleeves were 3/4 length on me (in the photos the sleeves look full-length).  It is a super cute dress and I wish I could have worn it for New Year's Eve.

Due to my petite height, I had to add a belt to this look to adjust the length but it was such an easy dress to wear. This is a sure bet for a work event or date where modesty is in order. It is not the look that will garner tons of comments but sometimes blending in is the goal! 

While the fabric of this dress was heavier and nicer than I anticipated, it did nothing for me. The color change hit at my widest point and was not flattering at all. I have worn other dresses cut like this with success, but this was disappointing.

While I know the other reviews said it was too short, I read the measurements and still though it might work. But I was wrong. Which is too bad too because it's a really nice quality dress and would have been perfect for my grandmother's 90th birthday (where we were also taking a family portrait). But it was just insanely short. Too bad.

This was way to tight across the top and too short to even bend over. 

I am 5' 10" and found the dress too short to wear out of the house.  

I got a size S and it fit well up top and through the waist, but the sleeves were much shorter than shown in the photo and so was the hem.  I measured it 30" from shoulder to hem.  Barely covered my rear, it looked like a tunic top on me.  I am not super tall either, just 5'8".  Don't know if the size M might have fixed the length problem but I have a feeling it would have been too big everywhere else.

So short couldn't even wear it with leggings as it looked dumb. Do not rent if you're over 5'5.
