This dress is very short. I tried it with the gray tights, but black may have been better and not made it seem so short, visually. Anyhow ... enjoyed it! 

I've worn a 4 in Theory before and the medium fit well, not form fitting, fit like a sheath.  I wouldn't size down as it was fairly short as a work dress, was ok with tights but wouldn't be good with bare legs in my conservative office.  Material is a bit thin and not lined.  Comfortable but nothing too exciting, good dress for an average work day.  

Definitely a fitted dress!! Very stretchy and thick material but like a work-appropriate body con dress.

I rented the same style in the windowpane pattern last year and really liked it, but this one fell a little short for me (figuratively). I don't know if they updated the fit (think I may be imagining it but it may have been a tad too big in the shoulders) but overall I think I just didn't like the grey stripes. 

I wore it to work anyway but probably won't rent again. 

As a petite person, it's here to find a dress with a good length. This one was perfect! Not super thick material, but good quality. Will definitely rent again! 

Way too short to wear to work, even with flats and dark tights. (I'm 5' 2"!) Fit elsewhere was slightly large.

I didn’t listen to the reviews - I thought I was getting a zero but it was a petite size. Way too short! 

Yes this dress is basic in design, but the fabric has a subtle print and the stretch in it means this would be a great dress for work travel. Simple but classic. 

Loved the high neck. It is slightly body con but appropriate and great length on me (I'm 5'1). I wore with tights, would be a good work dress. 

Wore with heels but wish I had some fancy sneakers to wear for work instead. But in general loved the dress :)

Fit great, very comfortable. Not tight but not too boxy. Nice material. Great for work.

It fit like a 60's style mini-dress, so I did not end up wearing it. Definitely shorter than it appears in pictures.

Theory usually runs small so was hoping for a good fit. My shoulders are too broad for dress so when I zipped up the back became too short. Super cute dress and material. Dress was too short for professional wear but cute for casual

Very simple and straightforward. Good for fall, in terms of general weight and style. Very simple. One of the sleeves had a dropped hem on mine, and at first I thought it was supposed to have an unfinished hem but it was just damaged. Nice for work, nothing overly special.

Really liked this dress.  It was a flattering subtle stripe.  The panels on the side made it fit like a glove, but it was a bit short for the office. It was still warm in September so I didn't wear tights, but it would look good and make me feel more comfortable with the length.  Would buy or rent again.

Rented my usual size (XS). Fit everywhere else but was much too short to be work appropriate. Returned without wearing. Might have better luck with the Small.

Was hoping for a shift dress style but this was more of a clingy hugging type of dress.

I rented for work and it was far too short. And tight. I am 5"6, usually a 0 and needed at least another two inches in length to wear this to work

I'm 5'8 and the Large didn't even cover my butt!

I rented this dress to wear at work but even wearing casually its way too short. Would probably fit someone more petite much better!
