Phare Silk Dress

This is beautiful. I couldn’t wait to rent this. Because I’ve rented a Staud cotton dress before that felt too tight in my size, 12, this time I sized up to 14 but I could’ve gone with my actual size. This is a gorgeous dress and I can’t wait to wear out to dinner. Get this one!! If in between you might be able to size down.

This dress fit perfectly. My only TINY complaint is that none of my strapless bras worked — you could see all of them through the arm holes, so I just went with some boob tape. I was stopped all night long with people telling me the dress looked like art; where did I get it; and how amazing I looked in it. I would absolutely consider buying if I had more formal events and will rent again. I will say, I think it looked better in person than in photos. Absolutely do not hesitate to rent.

I ordered a 12 and 14. Ended up wearing the 14 as the 12 was a little tight in the chest.

Fantastic dress, but the zipper was difficult and was hard to zip where the fabric was gathered. I’m typically a size six but I wore a size eight after reading the reviews. Beautiful dress! Very very flattering!!

Wore this for my brothers rehearsal dinner. SUCH a gorgeous dress and so well made, the silk was so soft and the fit was beautiful. Such a comfortable material and easy to wear all night. The only thing I will note is that this dress had no give and did run a bit narrow through the waist so it may be slightly smaller than true to size.

Love the cut, the color, the feel of the material, the print, the quality. RTR please stock every flavor of this dress (I saw that Staud has lots of pretty patterns) so we can wear them all!

Rented both the 8 & the 10; the 10 was the fit at my current 155 lbs - especially with a Prix fixe dinner wine pairings…me clowning in the restaurant restroom since I could camo into all the colors :) Loved the dress for a fancier occasion as it is definitely Midi length.

If i could wear this dress every day, I would. Usually a 10/12 but the 14 fit like a dream. Thin, silky material, easy zip, sooo flattering.

Ordered the 12 and the 10 and ended up wearing the 10, loved this dress. The colors were beautiful and the silky fabric flowed nicely without being too clingy.

I absolutely loved wearing this dress to a formal wedding. I ordered the 0 and was nervous due to some of the reviews but it fit me perfectly. The ruching was flattering over my stomach. I would buy it if I had other occasions to wear it!

The fit and flow of this dress was so comfortable, and I was able to go braless. Lots of compliments during the night and felt elegant! I would suggest getting the backup size larger rather than smaller. I was able to slide it on no problem, but if I had gotten a size too small, could imagine it would be hard to slide over my hips. I wore a 2 and the off the shoulder part was slightly falling down but it was perfect after one strip of fabric tape. (If you're going to use fabric tape on this delicate fabric, stick the tape to another piece of clothing a few times so it's not as sticky or it could rip/fray the fabric). The length was perfect for the cocktail wedding I went to. Fell right above the toes before heels, and with 1.5" heel was right to the ankle. I would def recommend this dress!

Good LORD! Strangers stopped me on the street. I had a pep in my step. Everything felt chic and possible and splendid. I wore her dressed down a touch with heeled boots for a girls night for this fall weather and loved it but it could easily go to a formal occasion or wedding with a small bag and heels. The side zip can be a little hard with curves but hey, that’s what yoga poses are for. And once on, she’ll snatch you like she was cut just for you. Just rent it. If I can find bite the bullet on this price tag, she’s mine.

I mean…this dress is just fabulous. I felt like a queen wearing it around Italy. The fabric is light but quality. Pure luxury.

Wedding DJ said he had never seen this dress before and he goes to a lot of weddings! Could have sized up for a less snatched fit because the drape around the waist really is perfect. Lovely fabric and great colors for fall.

This dress was everything I wanted for my intimate 50th birthday dinner with ~25 of my lifelong friends. It was easy and comfortable to wear, I got compliments all night long, AND I was able to eat everything I wanted. Would happily rent it again, or buy it if possible.

Slinky, flattering and flowy. Such nice fabric! I typically wear a 2 in Staud but sized up due to seeing other reviews of this style and I'm glad I did. There was room to move, but it's not roomy.

Was really excited to rent this but it fell a little bit flat for me. The arm cuts were not flattering and it was sort of restricting. Gorgeous tho

I wore this lovely dress to a Fall wedding to which the bride asked folks to wear colorful evening attire. I felt glamorous and generally comfortable, though I needed a Spanx-like undergarment to smooth out the bumps underneath the satiny material. I got compliments from friends and strangers, which is unusual for 50+ me. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it's almost impossible to zip up without an assistant to help you. It fit me fine, but the zipper is weirdly constructed so my husband had to really focus up to get it on me. Of course, no problem unzipping the silly thing. Beautiful + unique!

I wore this dress to a wedding rehearsal dinner and loved it. I got tons of compliments all night. It was super comfortable and a great length for me (I’m 5’3). I chose not to wear a bra, but you obviously could if you wanted to. My only complaint is I was unsure about the sizing. I’m usually a size 2 or 26, but it was way too small. I ended up wearing the 4 and honestly could’ve probably fit into the 6 if I had wanted it looser. Maybe it depends on your shape, but keep that in mind if you’re in between sizes!

Traveling for a multi-event trip — it takes up no space in the suitcase and is so flattering. As is a mid calf lenght I do recomend using high heels to make it look even more amazing.

I think this dress will flatter every body shape! I didn't end up wearing it because I needed something for cooler weather and this was just too light and flowy for the event. It was long for me, almost ankle length. It is really beautiful, I will probably rent again.

Wore for movie premiere. Clings to curves, beautiful drape at shoulders, front gathers hide a bit of a belly. Can wear your own strapless bra. The color is as shown in the online photo. Hit at the ankle (I am 5'5") Size worn L
