The size above my typical fit perfectly and I received tons of compliments. Would consider this a good “standing dress” not as great for sitting down. Has a built in bra which is a plus!!

I absolutely loved wearing this dress to a formal gala. The length was perfect for 3 inch heels, and it fit perfectly. The color is actually a very dark blue (it can look black in photos), with black underlay which makes it more than just another "black dress." I received a lot of complements as well. 

The quality of this dress was top notch. It fit like a glove and ran TTS, although it was a bit stiff to sit in for long periods of time and my shoulders were sore after taking it off from the halter top. I ordered the long but the tag didn’t say it was a long, so I think I ended up with a regular length, which actually worked out fine as an ankle length dress. 

Overall, stunning dress though and would recommend! 

I worn this dress to our company gala and it was perfect. I am 5’9” so the long one worked out better for me. I could squeeze into a medium but since the dress is shaped very well so it wasn’t necessary to be snug, so I went for L to have a bit more breathing room. You don’t need bra and it wasn’t necessary super comfortable. 

This dress is one of my absolute favorites I have ever worn!!! The fabric is velvety and structured so you feel secure in the dress. There is also an inner corset under the fabric on top that holds you in and supports the “girls” - I didn’t even need to wear a bra, bonus! Easy to dance in too. Very comfortable.

This dress had a great structure, which made it feel super formal. I received a few compliments! Runs true to size. The neck part kind of hurt a bit throughout the night. Other than that, I loved it!

Really loved the look of this dress and got SO many compliments on it. However, I have a bigger booty and this caused the under layer of the dress to ride up- a lot- all night long. Even bunched up over my butt at one point- good thing I was wearing spanx! A less curvy girl probably wouldn't have this issue, but just be aware! Also very glad I got the backup in a size up bc the 8 was way too tight on me, 10 was snug

The dress is heavy but was very comfortable, even to dance in. 
The pattern on the lace was gorgeous! Received lots of compliments.
I tried 6P first and it was snug enough but not tight that I didn't even try on the 4P. 
You will definitely need a second person to help you with the hook in the inner layer of the dress.

The 2P was perfect for a black tie wedding in November. Not too tight, zipped up no problem (with my partner’s help). Got many compliments, including from the bride. Length was just right too for a short girl. I wore 2 inch nude heels, and the gown just hit right. 

I wore this gown to a black tie wedding. I wear a size 8 in “regular” clothes and ordered a 10r and 12r. Both sizes fit but I decided to go with the 12 to allow some space to eat! I am 5’ 6 1/2” and wore 2 inch heels and the length was about perfect. As others have commented, the fabric is heavy but it was perfect for the late fall wedding which also had an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. 

I am 61 and felt the dress was very age appropriate yet not matronly-always a challenge to find this sweet spot. As others mentioned, there is a built in bra and the zipper was somewhat difficult so requires assistance. I received a lot of compliments and very happy I chose this gown. 

I rented this for a formal/black tie optional wedding in September and it was perfect! I loved the structure and the length. Because of the high neck line and back, I felt so put together and sleek. Highly recommend for anyone else looking for something sleek and formal. Probably best for people with smaller chest sizes

I usually wear a size 2 however I’m 3 months postpartum and a size 6 was perfect 

Got lots of compliments. Good length for my petite frame and height. Wore with 4 inch heels, any shorter and it might have just been on the floor a little bit. Fit well, had a little breathing room. Great formal dress, but not my absolute favorite as I often like something with a slit, but that’s personal preference. Perfect for the occasion.

Classy, elegant, timeless. The fabric is absolutely beautiful — and photographs so, too. Compliments all night! 

I have a very large rib cage, so did have to order a couple sizes up. I would typically wear an 8 but had to size up to a 12. This dress was so easy to wear. 

Perfect length for 5’7 or 5’8 if you want to wear flats. Hit right below my ankle & I wore bejeweled flats. 

This dress is a little heavy and the zipper was a little challenging going up and down—but once I got into it—it was amazing. I wore this to a September black tie preferred wedding and it was perfect. I got many compliments and I felt great wearing it! I paired it with gold block heel sandals, a gold purse and small gold and diamond hoop earrings.

 113 lbs, athletic with an hour glass shape. I wore 4 1/2 heels and length was perfect.

If taller than 5’8 order a long! I am 5’10 and it was almost too short. Dress was perfect! Size 10 worked best. 

I got so many compliments. I wore to a black tie wedding. I sized up in the dress. My only advice is the neck is fitted. If that bothers you that is something to consider. I would definitely rent again. Loved it and it made me happy.

This dress fit me perfectly, the length was just right even though I wore flats. Strapless bra helped. It was easy to move for dancing. I loved it. 

The only bad thing about this dress is the zipper. Heavier material, but perfect for a fall wedding. Deciding between this one and another option. 

got so many compliments, it fit perfectly. I had it on for about 12 hours so the neck got a little tight by the end of the night but it’s such high quality it was worth it.

I enjoyed wearing this dress to a ball. It was a great fit on the top and waist. The fabric is comfortable too. I recommend it!

This dress screams timeless elegance. I wore it to a black tie event in Chicago and got a lot of compliments. I wore the 10 and it fit, but was almost a bit big around the mid-section (I'm more pear-shaped than apple-shaped) - however I'm not sure if the 8 would have been too small (I ordered the 10 and the 12). All in all, I was massively pleased with this rental and highly recommend this dress!

I usually go down a size in Shoshanna, but this was TTS for me, maybe a tad large in the torso but the bust was perfect, could not have gone smaller.  Perfect for black tie wedding

So many compliments on this gorgeous dress! It was my last choice of the 3 I rented, and my first choice when I put it on.

This dress looks great. Not itchy at all and super comfy. Easily worn with a strapless bra.  Lots of compliments on this. 

Loved this dress. It's incredibly unique in its pattern and style, it's comfortable and easy to wear.  Like others have written, it has the infrastructure that you do NOT need a bra - bigger chested ladies rejoice! so freeing.  Got tons of compliments - was able to dance without any fashion mishaps.  Would rent again  - highly recommend!

Loved the whole process.  All 5 dresses were beautiful but this one was the standout.  

Wore this to a black tie event and it was perfect. Received tons of compliments. I ordered a 2R and a 2P and ended up opting for the 2P. It was flattering and comfortable the whole night. Unique, too! The material is pretty thick, which I liked because it kept me warmer.

This dress is exactly true to size and may even run a little smaller than the size. If you're a big eater, get a larger size. lol

I absolutely loved this dress! It fit me perfectly—true to size and super flattering. I wore it to a Gala party and felt so confident and elegant all night.
