This fit well, but was a little stiff too. It was a mix between everyday and special occasion depending on how it's styled.
I really loved the idea of this skirt. I wore the 34 which was what RTR recommended for me. I am usually a size 2. This skirt was super tight and showed EVERYTHING. I wore a bodysuit shirt and you could see the lines of the bodysuit through the skirt so I put tights on which helped some. It is very tight so awkward to move in and therefore, I definitely couldn't use the pockets but if I rent this again I will size up because I think if it fit better, I would have been obsessed!
I've had this skirt on my list for months and couldn't wait until the weather warmed up so I could rent it. Yikes – it's small. It features side slit pockets, functioning buttons, a front slit, and a back zip closure. It's more lightweight than it looks.
I originally ordered this in my normal size, and then had to swap up 2 full sizes to the 38 - that was still a bit snug on my waist. There is no stretch at all. The skirt is well made - heavier cotton material that's great for transition seasons, and I loved the high waist / ruching to camouflage any tummy issues. Having to go up a couple sizes didn't help the length though, so I probably wouldn't recommend it for other shorties like me.
Loved the fabric, but it definitely runs small. I don't think it's suitable for work, given the front is actually a slit ALL the way up - the buttons are fake. So be prepared for a large slit up the front!
Such a cute skirt, but fits much straighter than it appears. I couldn't get it over my hips.
This ran very tight in the hips, and while it fit, it was far from flattering, and so I did not wear it.
I had high hopes for this skirt but it was not cute on me. It looked dumpy on me. The waist was bulky and the skirt hit me more mid to lower calf. It does run small because normally I would not be a size 40. But the 40 fit me and I am a size 6. I believe this would be better on someone taller, thin and not curvy.
This skirt is an incredibly unique look, sort of like the bottom half of a trench coat. It's got a huge slit up the front of the dress where the two front parts overlap. It's got pockets. And the waist fit perfectly. However this skirt is clearly designed for a woman who has no hips. It also runs super small, so I had to call and swap the original 38 for a 40. I wore it with a silk Joie top and black heels and I definitely felt confident and sexy in it.
This skirt was very very cute, but unfortunately wasn't comfortable. Size up
I generally wear between a US 8 or 10 in bottoms (29 to 30" waist on jeans). Got this in the size recommended for me and it was at least 1 size too small. 2 sizes up would have been most comfortable, but it's hard to tell how the rest of the skirt would have looked.
WAY tight in the waist, couldn’t even leave it zipped for the rest of the day. Also the “wrap” is fairly high so challenging when you sit to not be over exposed. Super cute standing up, but not functional.
Size up if you must rent. I should have. Rented my usual size and spent the day at work feeling like I was in a whale bone corset. Could I have just not worn it? Sure. Am I stubborn? Most definitely. I work in a less than formal law office so our dress code is pretty liberal. I rented this for work but definitely not work appropriate in the traditional sense. Barely appropriate in a laid-back office like mine. Couldn't even sit in this with my knees together without revealing full leg.
I am in between an 8 and 10 and ordered a 10 to be on the safe side. I couldn't even get it zipped. Very unfortunate because it a great skirt and high quality material.
If you have a butt this isn't gonna fit
It didn't zip up at all and was tight around the rear. Size 4 nearly always fits, this didn't!
Wow... I've been renting for about a year and half and I've been lucky to only have had 2 sizing strike outs. This was strike our number 2... I'm about 140 pounds and 5"6... 38 didn't work. Also there is a slit in the back which isn't work appropriate. I'll take the slit part as my fault in reading. But the sizing threw me for a loop.
