I bought this on a whim without even previously renting it, and I am glad I did! This is very suitable to the hourglass shape - form fitting at the waist. I probably could have sized but but this fit just right. I think that this style is not for everyone which explains the mixed reviews. 

Rented this for a work trip to Palm Beach County FL. Was a perfect 10 among other perfect 10 women! However *note* if busty, size up. I'm petite in the shoulders and waist but zipper tight. Had to wake up my husband at 5am to zip me! Also needed a camisole because of gap around the black buttons. Just happen to have had a hot pink one. So rent it but try it before you need to wear it. Pro tip: go for periwinkle gel nails!

I agree that the sleeves are difficult - I pinned them in the back a bit so they wouldn't flip over. It was comfortable and unique

This top was very unique! Over each shoulder was a piece of fabric, two little capes! Although they would slide off when I leaned forward I really liked this one. The colors were vibrant. A very long belt could wrap around twice and accentuated my waist. Tight in the bust, I had to size up. Lots of compliments, still thinking of buying.

I could wear this to work or for a luncheon, dinner or date. Versatile. The 'cape' portion would fall over my shoulders here and there. I would recommend this item.

I am a pretty true 10, but this was much too tight in the chest and mid section. I totally would have sized up and tried again because the color, print and style are great. But the "cape  sleeves" are pieces of fabric stitched to the otherwise sleeveless top and tossed back over the shoulder. They don't fasten on anything and so jus kept falling forward and down my arms! Maybe if they were pinned back...

The weight of the wrap pulled down the waist cinching area. Also - way much happening on the arms. You can't tell from images that sleeves are actually split with a ton of extra material that needs to be draped (flung) toward the back.

Normally like his designs, but this one just has too much going on.

Way too small in the waist and bust.  I'm normally a size 10 and this was a 12!

Runs small around the waist even though I ordered a size larger. 

Beautiful top but even the 0 ran large on me. 

This is such a cute shirt. I couldn't wear it, because it didn't fit my bust. The zipper was fine around the waist and would have been up top, but I could not zip past the bust. 

Pros, decent pattern. Cons, sleeves are not even functional.
