A cross between Hippie and Sophisticated, this gown is one of my favorites! This runs true to size but is fitted at the natural waist. If you are curvier or have a larger bust, we recommend sizing up. This may be worn with a standard bra. I love the contrast in the pink flowers and the black background. Absolutely a show stopper! Pair this with the Gela Earrings by A Peace Treaty.
First - if are not doing unlimited you are missing out. I rented this for Boston Pops concert but opted to save it for a charity fashion show. I was stopped all night being asked if I was modeling. The fit was good but it has some strange extra material on the back. The arms are long but they work. Also I am 5'5 and wore some small heels (higher than kitten but not stiletto) and the dress did not hit the ground. I could have done flats and been ok. I wore my McQueen flower ring and a smashing rhinestone bracelet and that was just enough. I was comfortable and warm for early April in Massachusetts.
I loved the length and material gave it a snug fit while also allowing me to walk around the city streets all night. It was the perfect balance of comfortable and high style and a little something different. People were stopping me on the streets all night long saying how great of a dress it was. Definitely turns some heads! Perfect for a special occasion.
I had to be at an extremely high profile event. I 100% wanted sleeves and a dress easy to move around in, with no cutouts. This was the answer to my prayers. I got some panicky news that RTR wouldn't be sending my size because whoever had it before either damaged it or sent it back late (ladies, come ON). But I got the next size up - it was big in the shoulders and the fit wasn't amazing but it worked well enough and the dress was exactly what I needed that night. A very stylish lady recognized the designer right away and I wondered if she was secretly a RTRer too or if she just has a lot of money and knows these things! Anyway! I was never uncomfortable and felt very confident in this dress. I'm 5'10" and it was a smidge too short.
It has a retro-vintage-modest-sexy feel to it. I am 5'8" and typically wear a size 10, 46R fit perfect. The waist is fitted, the top a bit loose but not sloppy, sleeves come down past the wrist, and the length of the dress comes to the floor. I highly recommend this dress, I wish I could have kept it!
Very fun dress! Received so many compliments throughout the night! I love this because it's so different than your usual gowns! Always looking for something a little cooler!
42R fit like a traditional 4. The sleeves were long, so I used fabric tape and taped them up about 1 inch. I wore 4 inch heels, and the length was perfect. I think the dress caught people off guard, because it looks retro and the pink and black is very different! I absolutely loved it!
Lots of compliments! Loved this dress!
I absolutely loved this dress! The pattern was so cool and flattering. I had plenty of room in the bust which I wasn't anticipating by the photo. I often find dresses to fit everywhere but the chest so I was nicely surprised! The sleeves are super long. I couldn't wear the regular with heels but I found some super cute flats that worked perfect. If I were to rent it again I might go with the long to pair it with heels.
The dress (a size 4) fit like a glove! The sleeves are intentionally long, I think. It was perfect for my 10th wedding anniversary party.
LOVED this dress! It kind of looks frumpy on the website but it is very flattering and classy on. Wore to a wedding as you can see... and the long sleeves meant I wasn't cold but the material is light enough that I wasn't hot either. There is a bit of extra material at the upper back but it was fine. Great, great dress...trying to think how I can pull it off at work!
This is one of my favorite rentals ever. The sleeves were slightly too long, but it was easily fixed with fashion tape. Took away one star for the weird bunch of fabric on the upper portion of the back, but honestly I don't think anyone noticed it in person. This dress is a showstopper.
The size 42 ended up not being available, but I was determined and I squeezed myself into the 40. The way the dress fit, it didn't look too tight, though I had to limit my breathing! This is a very flattering line for someone who is larger on top and has a smaller waist and bum, because it covers your upper arms, is roomy through the shoulders and bust, but VERY fitted (with little give) in the waist. The skirt is a straight fit, but not at all tight.
This dress is absolutely beautiful. So classy and different from anything I've ever worn. It is a little warm so better for colder weather.
Fits true to size.
This dress is fantastic. I'm very hourglass-shaped and have a 32H bust. It was slim over my hips but still very comfortable, and there was enough room in the bust. As some people noted, the sleeves are longer, but it is definitely intentional. The fabric has a little bit of give to it. The dress is not very long - I'm 5'6" and ended up wearing small kitten heels because it wasn't long enough for 3" heels. I would buy this dress and received so many compliments on it!
Lots of compliments on this one and I loved it myself but the sleeves and length were pretty long!! I was able to wear with heels just barelyyyy -- but otherwise would have been tripping over it.
Runs small
Beautiful dress, but it didn't suit my body.
I was in LOVE with this dress, but it wasn't quite formal enough to wear to an evening black tie function. It would have been perfect for maybe an outdoor wedding or garden function. The pattern was amazing and the fit was very tight through the waist, but I found on my frame that there was too much material between the waist and the shoulder... the upper part sort of folded over at the waistline. I would definitely recommend ordering a "P" if you are a smaller woman.
Loved the dress but wasn't able to wear it :-( A little too snug on my hips and booty causing the dress to shift up and create a fabric bubble in my upper back. Weird but perhaps one size bigger would have solved it. Bummer!! I was so ready to wear this.
I didn't get to wear this gorgeous dress. Tempted to buy it and have it tailored. The sleeves are extremely long as is the torso. And the fit at the waist is snug so if you don't have a very long torso, the dress bunches in the back at the shoulders.
Made for tall and narrow people. Curvy, shorter girls with sass in their steps will be tempted by this one.... but you must resist. It was a heartbreaker when I couldn't get the zipper to go up all the way.
Rented for a formal event but had to wear back up dress. I have a short torso, so it bunched up in the back on top. So much so that it looked really awful. The sleeves are really too long as well.
This is a very odd dress. I wouldn't recommend renting it unless you are very thin with a long torso. As others mentioned, the fabric in the back is very odd - it bunched up like a hunchback and made the dress unwearable.
