I am so glad I decided to wear this dress to our company party - it fit me like a glove (I usually wear 0 or 2, this dress was a 2, and fit perfectly). It stood out in a sea of black and red cocktail dresses.

I imagine this dress is great for pear shaped bodies as it is body hugging on top and has a generous flowing skirt below. 

I read the reviews before I selected my size and I'm so happy I did. I normally wear a 4 or 6 and rented the 10 & 12. I wore the 10. The dress is beautiful and I had so many complements. It is very fitted in the rib cage. Mine is 32 and it was snug, but comfortable. Will definitely rent again, it was a great experience.

I loved this dress for the second I put it on. It was light and flowy, a perfect summer dress for a formal occasion. Everyone kept telling me how beautiful I looked! It was absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to rent it again. 

Agree with everyone else who says get sizes way bigger than you normally wear. I got the 10 and the 12, and because I'm pear and my ribs normally wear a 6, I wore the 10. And it was TIGHT. And worth it. :)

I had been waiting for an opportunity to rent this dress FOREVER, and I was invited to sing in a 60s themed concert, so it was perfect. The reviews are very accurate- it runs VERY small! I am typically a size 2 or 0 and am very glad I got the backup size 8 because it's what I ended up wearing. But it is SO flattering and I got compliments all night. I wish I owned it!

Great dress - was perfect for the event and for the setting (beach wedding at a fancy hotel).  The fit is a bit odd - very tight around the ribcage, but somehow extra fabric on the sides of the bodice.  It was clear this dress had been worn a LOT - the bones in the bodice were starting to tear through the lining (I had to pad them with moleskin so I wouldn't get stabbed every time I moved - or breathed).  As usual, RTR service is terrific.  Sad to see this one go back.

If you read the sizing information it notes that these are not US sizes so a size 6 is actually a US size 2.

I have a few gripes, but all can be remedied with pinning and hollywood tape. 

I usually wear a 4 and size 32-33 C Bra, but the 6 was a little tight around my ribs. Also, I had to use Hollywood tape to hold my boobs in place so that were not be squished. I had to add a little padding into the boob area as well to fill the space. 

The side panels added a little bulk to the dress. 

Like I said, it look great after I played with it. 

The reviews are right, you have to order this way bigger than your usual size. I usually wear a 2 and wore the 8. But even then the size is inconsistent. It was super tight around the ribs but then way too loose in the chest and straps. I ended taping a lot of the top down just so it wouldn't fall off but then my boobs were awkwardly exposed and squished flat, which wasn't flattering. I wouldn't order this dress again or recommend it.

Sadly this dress was WAY too small for me and I ended up wearing a backup dress. It didn't even fit over my head. That being said, it's a breathtaking dress that I recommend for someone with a smaller frame. 

This dress is stunning!! It does run small. I normally wear a size 8 so I ordered an 8 & a 10, the 10 almost fit, I could not get the zip up that last inch! Oh it killed me because I loved it so much. I ended up wearing the back up dress, Coral me bad, by Herve Leger, which was also beautiful! I do see myself ordering this one more time one size bigger! It was breathtaking!! My first rental with RTR, and I can't complement this experience enough! Thank God for the back up dress! At only $25, it was a godsend! Thank you RTR! Also it was over Labor day weekend, and my rental was due to be sent back on that Sunday, and Labor day was the Monday, they told me to mail it on the Sunday and not to worry about the holiday weekend! No extra charge to worry about. Wonderful experience, and a wonderful company!

I agree with the other ladies on this dress, pictures do it no justice. It's gorgeous in person and a joy to wear. I'm tall too and I had to get a 12 for the length, but it's a winner and stunner. You simply float in it.

how short was it on you? and how was the bust coverage? was it more casual or do you think it could be worn to a formal occasion?

Hi Meredith! The dress is 36'' from shoulder to hem and will be a mini length on anyone above 5'7. The coverage on the bust is medium, but you can't wear a standard bra. The material is silk so it can definitely be dressed up for a formal occasion! 

This dress is beyond beautiful in person!! Wore it to a wedding and even the bride couldn't stop telling me how beautiful it was...

Only problems: 
(1) It runs very small...I'm normally an 8 and I had to order a Brit size 10.
(2) It's a bit on the short side...I'm 5'11" and it was almost too short.
(3) The material is very light -- meaning any mini breeze and you have to keep from flashing everyone around you. 

Otherwise, I would def rent this again :)

Believe the reviews -- this dress is tight under the bust.  I wore the UK size 10 (supposedly equivalent to US size 6), even though I usually wear a 4P and a size 32 bra, and was just able to zip it up.  Since I'm a petite with a short waist (though with normal length legs), I don't think I'd be able to go larger or the straps would have been too long and the cleavage too low.  But the quality of this dress really shows.  The drape and the print are fabulous and unique.

I got many many compliments on this dress throughout the night.  It looked fabulous on, but I could barely breathe.  The dress is loose and flowy on the bottom, but for some reason they decided to put boning, like a corset, in the top part of the dress.  Had the boning not been in the dress, it would have made for a much more comfortable fit.  Had I gone a size up, then it would have been too loose.  Overall it was a stunning, flowy dress that was perfect for my date night or would be great for a wedding.  Just beware that the top half of the dress is beyond tight.  

This dress is absolutely gorgeous in person!  It is very well made and the material is light.  Beware, the dress runs extremely small.  I normally wear a 4 and the size 8 was about 1" too small.  

I gave this 4 stars only because of the size issue - otherwise the dress would be a 5. 

Around the rib  cage the dress fit perfectly.  However, under the arms, there was a lot of extra material, and because of the piping, it was difficult to adjust to fit.  It was a beautiful dress though.  I wore the equivalent of a size 8.  

The fit and color turned me off.  This dress had a weird fit in the bust, I'm 34D and 5'9 it was tight under bust and loose in the cups. There is boning, so it has support if it fits you. Didn't do much in the way of enhancing or showing off figure. Would look better on someone more petite and with a bigger cup size. Coloring reminiscent of scrambled easter eggs.
