It does run a little tight across the chest because of the style.

I am so thankful to the reviews because I paid attention and sized up. This dress definitely does not have any give. It’s stiff buuuut with the right size it’s glorious. I received so many compliments! I would rent again. 

I loooooved this for fall or winter. Cozy, stiff, strong.

This fits similarly to other Marni shifts of this shape - cut square so it’s can be snug or ride up around the hips if you are a pest like me. It’s also proportioned well for petites, on the shorter side with the pockets placed high. A very cute dress with an easy casual look, but the denim is stiff and. It that comfortable so it’s best fit a casual workday.

Very stiff, thick jean dress. Wore with black tights and booties. A bit boxy but loved the overall look. 

Perfectly casual, but the fit was very constricting.  Just barely fit in the chest, and sitting in an office chair was not comfortable.  I still give 4 stars since I thought it was so cute.

This was a cute dress, but the arms were very tight.  Even left a slight mark on my arms from rubbing on my arm at work all day.  Also, wasn't very comfortable to wear to work to sit at a desk all day.

I'll echo what everyone else has said. Fine if you don't need to raise your arms. Very cute but this is a one and done for me.

The arms are freakishly tight and yet ... the rest of the dress fits like a big sack

This denim dress was so cute. It was made if very thick material so it was very sturdy. At first I thought it was too heavy, but then I wore it around for a little while and was able to move around much better. It is so cute especially with the pockets and fits very well. I got so many compliments.

I absolutely loved this dress and almost kept it for the entire summer but the jean material was too thick for really hot days. It's super comfy and stylish. It's slightly large but I didn't mind it being a little loose. 

I love this and felt great wearing it.
A bit snug in the shoulders and arms, but overall a great fit. A little stretch throughout. 

So. Darn. Cute. I absolutely loved wearing this with colorful tights and maryjanes. I usually wear size 0 or 2, but have a larger bustline so I sized up to 4 (40) since I knew the denim would have no stretch. So glad I did because the 40 barely fit in the chest. Cute, playful dress.

Fit is slightly A line, work appropriate. So cute, paired with black tights & booties. 

I don’t normally wear short dresses as a tall 40+ mom, but the cut and material of this dress made it casual yet flattering and cute. Wore around town with the kids with flat sandals and got compliments. Could wear to a casual party as well. Will rent again

As others noted, this dress has small arms, which worked for me because I have a small ribcage and shoulders. I'm a true pear so it was perfect for me.

Excellent choice for running errands.  No special foundation requirements for this dress you can just throw on, wear, and reap compliments.

Comfortable and fun.  Great pockets.  All around great dress to pair with sneakers and run around in and then meet friends for dinner.  

I really loved the uniqueness of this dress with the two tones of denim. And I’m always a fan of a dress with pockets. The denim is THICK so just be aware of that. I almost kept this because I liked it so much.

This would have been the perfect dress if there was a half inch more room in the sleeves. Jean material, vertical lines and pockets make it flattering and comfortable. 

The style of this dress is so cute but it is very stiff and uncomfortable. I think you could only wear it to an event where you were standing still the entire time.

Not comfortable at all.  Fits TTS and shif dress.  So stif, and hard to around in.  Pass

Obsessed with this.  It's a little shapeless but in the best/most stylish way (perfect for a post-beer night bloat).  I'm wearing it midwinter with tights and booties but I can see how it would be perfect in the summer with tennis shoes.  It's definitely denim but the stiffness doesn't diminish comfort.

Great dress!  Received a lot of compliments, wish I could have bought it. The only "negative" I have is that since it is denim it is right around the arms, so if you need to lift your arms up over your head don't wear this dress. 

Received several compliments. The dress is slightly stiff, but totally worth getting. Wore it with leopard booties and it was super cute. 

I wore this to a western themed work party that I traveled to, and it was perfect. I sized up, so that I would have a loose fit and it would not be too short. I was very happy with it. It packed well.

This dress looks polished and expensive. Received a few compliments on it. It is very rigid/firm denim, though, so I wouldn't wear it out dancing or anything like that where you want to raise your arms. Served it's purpose for one night.

I liked how this dress looked and fit, but it was a very stiff dress. Not the easiest too move around in and couldn't really lift my arms.

I love a shift dress, and the contrasting colored denim and stitch details made this one stand out. It is very stiff denim, and the shoulders and bust are a bit of a close fit. If you are looking for structure, she's your gal. However, if you're looking for a comfy little summer dress, I'd pass. 

Dress looked nice on but the material was very stiff

Rented this to wear to a summer outing.  It fit very well, loved the pockets and the contrasting denim.  Not too long and not too short.  It was a bit heavier weight so not the best choice for a super hot day.  Only negative is the arms were pretty tight.  I do have athletic arms so this often happens to me but I did have to get someone else to zip it up because I could barely raise my arms over my head.

Received many compliments despite feeling it was too loose and slightly resembled potato sack.
