I genuinely loved this dress and would have considered buying it if it wasn't seriously out of my price range. The fabric is beautiful and hangs very nicely, and I personally didn't find the front 'flap' too big (I'm a 34D and it seemed to fall and flow well for my shape). Could make a nice summer dress, but the colors also work for fall -- I paired it with black tights and a cardigan for work, wore it without the cardigan for a nice dinner out. 

Good basic work or shower outfit. No wows, but worth renting 

So stylish and very comfortable. It was a little loose in the stomach area but the layered ruffle hid this so it didn't look weird. The material is pretty forgiving and didn't wrinkle much during the day compared to other silks. I will definitely be renting this again. 

I had a photo shoot that date in a business suit, but the dress was so cute I asked the photographer to get some shots of it, too.  I then wore it to an event honoring some judges, with a business jacket.  It was conservative enough for the event, but still fun and colorful.  Really nice from day-to-night.  

When I first tried this on I thought it was too small across the hips, but it ended up being OK - the liner was a little bit tight, but because of the flounce on the front, you could not tell. The second time I put it on (to actually wear it to work) I thought it fit a lot better - it's a very nice, stylish professional dress, great for work. I don't know if I'd wear it to something more festive or party like, but I would love to have it in my closet as a work staple. Wore it with black flats. Length is longer than most dresses I like, but again... I was wearing it to work so it was appropriate!

  Flowly and tight all in the right places.  Non wrinkle material.  Worn with simple black pumps and black sweater blazer for work.  

Beautiful pattern and feel to the dress. Flowed well with movement and fit comfortably. Feels very expensive on!

It great, the panel in the front made the shift dress super forgiving.

This made me feel and look good. Easy to put on for any occasion - work to dinner or just as a casual day dress. Loved it. Wish I could afford it. 

This dress was elegant, pretty, comfortable and just right for work.  It would be a great dress for the transition from summer to fall.

Everything about this dress was perfect...the fit...the fabric...so flattering. One of my absolute favorites!!

Wore this with a black blazer and it was a comfortable, professional, and unique outfit. Sometimes the RTR "work" category seems to cater towards people who work in more hip offices than I do, but it worked for me in a hospital :) Will definitely rent again. 

The draping in the front makes it look a bit odd with a cardigan but it was just right with a blazer! I'm normally between a 2-4 depending on the brand and the 38 was perfect.

Comfortable and flattering, I got compliments for days. Great dress. 

Nice fit, used for a work dinner. Perfect balance between casual and business. 

The cut of this is a little more straightforward than some of the other Marnis on RTR (which I love but tend to have more fashion-y silhouettes).  Fit is true to size and has enough room in the bust for those with C/D cup (the fabric does not have stretch).  Fabric is lighter weight than most Marni dresses, but you could still make it work into fall with tights and a black tee/turtleneck underneath.  All in all, a winner.

I wore this with a black jacket for work, but I didn't love the look, because the top piece made it look sloppy or like I was wearing a long scarf/tie.  Best for an outdoor gathering on a nice day, I think, with no jacket or sweater.  

So soft, so vibrant, truly a beautiful fabric. The fit was loosely form-fitting - I just didn't know what to do with the part that hung over the bust. It didn't look all that appealing to my eye - I wanted to knot it or have it do something else. Good enough to wear to work one day, but I don't think I would rent it again!

Fit true to size, was very appropriate for conservative work setting-could pair with a blazer or wear by itself.

The dress is nice , great style. Made well, all seams covered and good quality overall. 
The dress is not very new, doesn't look as shiny and crisp as shown in pictures. The fabric is not soft as you would expect, but nothing bad. If you look at the seams inside, they are discolored, which to me means the dress has been worn and washed too many times. 
The style however is great! Very professional and lady-like!

This dress has a unique cut. It was a good dress for work. 

This dress is beautiful, but it definitely runs TTS. They didn't have an 8 when I ordered, so I tried sizing down. There is no give in the lining. This probably would have looked great a size larger, but I would have belted it under the bib to show my waistline. I felt like the dress was overpowering without the belt, even a size too small.

Beautiful dress, but a bit large since I got a size up because of the European sizing. Got the 42 but the 40 would have fit better.

I would have worn this dress to work but it was too tight in my chest.  I may order it in a larger size because the print is great.

It fit like a sack. Not flattering at all. But the print was really pretty and the length was good for work. 

I wanted to love this but couldn't wear it. It was way too tight in the hips. The top fit fine. 

This dress was fine but it was just meh. I didn't think the fabric on the front was very flattering. 

No stretch but fits true to size with a little extra room.  I loved the idea of this dress but it's really long, which makes moving around tough.  I'm 5'8" and it hit right in the middle of my knee and with no stretch in the fabric, I was limited in my ability to go up a step or get in a car.  I would not rent this dress again.

tight in the hips and huge in the bust and waist. just so so.

This dress was pretty. However, while it fit my chest (32DD) it did not fit my hips.  I have an hourglass shape and my hips are about 37in.  I would say about 2 sizes too small for my hips.  Really unfortunate as it would have been a great dress. 

The fit was smaller than i thought it would be from the reviews. 

PROS:  Gorgeous fabric the red color really pops. The dress is very well made and nicely detailed, the zipper was smooth and easy. The fabric felt luxurious next to my skin and was easy to wear. Unfortunately, the dress just looked very frumpy on me so I ended up not wearing it. I could order a size down and try again, but the hanging piece of fabric in the front was substantial just didn't do anything for me or my frame. But it could make a great baby bump dress...? 

CONS:  Just wasn't for me.
