This dress was very elegant.  My biggest problem was that it was WAY too big.  When I first tried it on, it was falling off me; it definitely runs large. I grabbed a belt and placed it where the natural waist was and it looked much better.  I am sorry I do not have a picture of the event but here is a picture from when I was trying to figure out how to fix the size issue. 

The fit was a little bit big, but ran pretty true to size. I got the 6L because I'm 5'8 and it was perfect for the shoes I chose which had 2 1/12 inch heels. I got multiple comments throughout the night about how pretty the dress was and how slimming it was too. Overall - great dress. I wish I could have kept it. 

The dress fit true to size.  I'm smaller on top and felt the dress was a big Baggie.  I added a belt and it looked like it was meant for the dress.  Forwards the end of the night, a part of the chain came off.  Overall really fun to wear and dance ! 

I usually wear an 8 in dresses but I read that this ran big. I wore the 6 and it fit great. It was very comfortable and no need for uncomfortable spanx! I recommend this dress highly. No need for a lot of jewelry. Rocker chic.

Everything was great. This dress is very forgivable so the 6 and 8 fit (just the 8 showed more cleavage) I wore 4 inch heels.The dress was a tad too long for me, however, and unfortunately for some reason the fashion tape that is usually supplied didn't come this time. That was the only downside as I would have liked to shorten it, but otherwise it was really wonderful fit, material, etc. 

I was nervous about a few things pertaining to this dress particularly about it looking 'baggy' and not showing a waist. I was also nervous about comments made about the material. So when I put it on, I was very pleased. The material is smooth, comfortable, and thicker than you might be led to believe. The cut in the chest is pretty deep but the fact that you can adjust the sliding knot in the back helps you alter how much cleavage shows (slightly). I used a Nubra and it was perfect. I think I could have gotten away with a regular bra but I was glad not to worry about it. The beading and chains were in perfect condition. I did feel it ran slightly big so if you are teetering, go smaller on your second size. It was also quite long. I'm just about 5'7 so I always choose long but for this 4L I needed to wear my tallest heels.

I felt terrific in this dress! It showed off my upper body, while providing some forgiveness in the lower regions. I think the fit is very forgiving for a variety of shapes. The black fabric was thicker than I thought it might be (in a good way) so it laid nicely. I'm 5'6" and found the L length perfect with high heels. 

It fit true to size i wore 4 inch heels and it touched the ground, if your wearing heels definitely go with the long. I wore this to my husbands marine corps ball and it was really nice because i could dance and not have to worry about my dress falling down or anything, you can even wear a bra as long as it crosses in the back. The dress is very low in the front but because the rest of the dress is so modest i thought it was fine. I would definatley recommend  this dress and will for sure be using rent the runway again! 

This dress fit in perfectly at a Black Tie Optional Wedding. It was a little long for my height, so I had to wear very high shoes. It would best fit women 5'4" and up. Hopefully they will make this in a petite length soon and I thenI would rent it again! 

It was definitely a good length for 4 inch heels & the bigger the "fitting" size you wear the more it shows your cleavage.

I loved the fit of this dress, it complimented my hour glass figure perfectly. Since I'm busty 34 (DD) I did pefered wearing a half bra however the bra wasnt a must have..

This was my first time using renttherunway.com and I was very unsure of what to order or how to even make sure it fits. I went with 2 dresses and so glad I did! The dress that fit, and I wore, was perfect. What made it so amazing was that it wasn't a tight or curve-hugging dress. It hangs a little loose so no worries on making sure it fits perfectly. My company had a formal dinner associated with the Air Force and the dress was also professional (I didn't feel like I was showing too much). Also, what makes the dress is the chain details helps as well if you don't have any jewelry or last minute put together. All you really need is small earrings and maybe a ring. I received alot of compliments on this dress and was VERY happy with my first time experience at Rent the Runway. 

I wore this gown to a NYE formal event.  I am 5'8' and oredered L and it was just the right length.  I received tons of complements.  I think you need to be quite tall to pull this dress off.  It does tend to run a tiny big.  Only complaint I had was that a few beads were missing on strap and a few chains were missing.  The chains might be a bit fragile to be a rental dress.  Loved the look however!

Photographs well but fabric in person is jersey and a little translucent. Chains fell off during the night but overall fit was great/flattering and worked for black tie wedding. I also went a size down from what I expected.
