This was the perfect dress for a Quinciera that requested guests to wear jewel toned formal attire.  I received so many compliments! This was probably one of my favorite dresses to rent from RTR! Other reviews mentioned that the top fit a little large, which was true, but I just pinned it from the inside for a better fit. Other than that, I’d rent it again if I hadn’t already wore it! 

I didn't end up wearing this. The 6 was too small to be comfortable, but the 8 had too much room in the torso and surprisingly the bust too. I think if I had tweaked it a little it could've worked, but since I had another option I didn't bother. It's a really interesting dress, and the skirt has a fun, almost herringbone emboss on it. 

I LOVED this dress - one of the first I've worn postpartum and I felt so gorgeous in it. 

I loved the 1950’s vibe of this dress! I received a number of compliments on this look. The corseted bodice was comfortable and held my barely b cup chest in place without any additional padding. I recommend sizing down! I’m 5’5”, 135 lb. Normally wear a size 6. The size 4 fit perfectly. My first RTR dress was a total success and I felt amazing dancing the night away! 

This dress was perfect for a wedding I attended with my husband. I sized down and it still was a little too big on top, so if you know that your waist is your smallest area, I’d recommend sizing down one or two sizes. I got so many compliments!

This dress was unwearable for me—somehow too big and too small at the same time. Felt like it would barely zip but then once it was on I was absolutely swimming in the top, and I’m not exactly small-chested. Not sure what body type this dress is for but…not mine.

I read the reviews and was a little bit nervous but it was 100% worth it. I am a size 4 in most clothing and ordered a 6. I am a c cup and filled out the dress well. It stayed up all night and I didn’t feel like I had to adjust it at all! I received so many compliments! The material is beautiful and just needed a light steam before wearing. Rent it! You won’t be disappointed! 

This dress was SO much fun to wear. I rented the 2 & 4 and had to go with the 2 because the boob cups were so large on me. I couldn’t wear a strapless bra with the 2 bc it was too tight in the waist and still had some gaping in the chest at certain angles. Something to keep in mind if you are more flat chested
But I got a lot of compliments and the dress was very pretty. I felt formal enough at a black tie event

The vibrant color and material on this dress was fab! I got a lot of compliments. I love a fit and flare dress because it’s so complimentary to an hour glass figure and comfortable. True to size and the bodice/fitted portion has a bit of give.

Had so much fun in this dress.  Big on top but felt supported with smaller size.

The dress was a little long compared to the picture but great for a wedding I didn’t feel self conscious eating and drinking through the night. I did add cups as the top was a little big on me.

Good fit & held the girls in. Would rent again! 

I understand the reviews about the cups. I was able to wear a strapless bra but I think it may have made me look very busty. Without the bra it fit but didn’t feel secure. Wonderful jewel tone! 

The ruffles on top side of the dress were not very flattering. The dress was comfortable, but it was not as flattering as I hoped 

I got more compliments in this dress than I have in any other dress. My husband wanted me to keep it! It is a beautiful color and the shape is flattering. 
I will say- the boob area was difficult for me. If you have a larger chest, be aware that you may feel exposed. 

I felt amazing in this dress for a black tie wedding even though I was 2 months postpartum. Amazing color

This dress made me feel like a million bucks! I wore this dress to Lady Gaga's Jazz & Piano Show in Vegas - compliments galore! A very elegant and classic look for any event. The details on the dress was my favorite part. I'm usually a size 12, however, the 14 fit me perfectly. Highly recommend this dress. 

The top runs big. There is boning in the bodice so it’s only fitted around the rib cage, then flares out. Very comfortable. I received a lot of compliments!

I would agree with a lot of the other reviews, the bust fits slightly bigger than the general size of the dress. I’m 5’9” 150lbs, C cup, I wore a size 4 in this dress and the cups were slightly big, without a bra. I couldn’t wear my strapless bra to fill it out, because you would have seen it poking out the top. Otherwise….this dress was fabulously dreamy! The color is beautiful, I paired it with some peacock feather earrings, I have never gotten so many compliments before on a Rent the Runway piece. Would definitely rent again. 

Love the colour and the pleats on the dress. Even with the pleats, I found it easy to pack into a suitcase and have it still look gorgeous. I have a larger chest so I found it true to size, in fact the bodice top was a little tight for me when sitting. It did not feel tight when standing however. The length was perfect for the black tie optional wedding I attended. 

This dress is beautiful and lovely! But the sizing is all the way off! If you have a chest sizing from D or greater SKIP this dress. I order a size 4 and the top was so small and tight and i don’t think sizing up would have even matter. The top of the dress gives a weird shape but it can also be my body since i have a shorter torso. In all i wish it would’ve fit like i wanted to but it unfortunately did not work for me. 

I wore this dress to a formal wedding and received so many compliments on the style and color. I rented two sizes and ended up wearing the larger size as I was not able to zip up the smaller size. 

Overall: I loved the dress and it was beautiful!

I’m typically an 8 and I ordered a 6 so the torso fit snugly and stayed up. The cups were suited for D cup breast without a bra. Very heavy fabric so not the best for a summer wedding. 


I’m between a 10 and 12. The 10 was a bit snug.  Wore it to the wedding but switched to the 12 for the reception, although it was a little loose up top, bad to secure with Bobby pins.  

I loved the color of this dress and it flowed so beautifully. It was a bit big in the rib cage but I didn’t want to go down a size for comfort/No spanx. I have a short torso so I tucked in the straps. 

I liked this one! I felt the comments about the chest being too big didn’t apply to me. I stuck with the size 2 (versus sizing down) and didn’t have trouble filling in the chest. I’m glad I didn’t listen to reviews about going a size down or else I’m not sure it would have fit.

Just beautiful. Head-turner for sure. Quality is impeccable & the details are so special. I opted to not use the ties for a strapless look. Dress runs a bit large — I’m typically a size 4 and rented a size 2, but I could’ve even done a size 0 — so I’d say go down a size or 2. Chest area runs large as well; I couldn’t quite fill it out but it still worked!

I was really excited to west this dress but the proportions just feel off. I have a large bust and this still didn’t look/fit correctly. Love the color and the fabric. 

I rented this dress for a formal wedding, and I loved it. I received so many compliments and it moves well on the dance floor. It runs a little big though. I recommend going down a size and, for those with a smaller chest, use fabric tape for the bodice!

I love the opportunity to wear Marchesa thanks to RTR. The color and fabric of this dress is fantastic. But as others have said - it's too big in the top. I tried to fill it up some with a strapless bra, but I'm not sure it was the most flattering dress for me. 

I wore this to a gala hosted by my graduate school (aka adult prom). At first I was worried my true size (10) would be too small, but it fit perfectly. I just needed another set of hands to help with the zipper; you do have to force it a bit over the seam. The gown was comfortable all evening and so many strangers kept approaching me! Perfect choice for a formal event if you follow Matchmaker Maria’s green dress theory. By the way, I’m 5’8” and the hem came right to my ankle.

I didn’t size down because a smaller size wasn’t available, although a 2 would have been perfect. Still I made it work. Belt is key. Second thing is to tie the tie very tight so that it holds up the bodice. All in all, it worked! I didn’t need cups and it looked filled out even though I’m between a b and c cup. Length is a matter of debate. I actually quite loved it - old-fashioned elegance and glamour. Stunning for fancy Mother’s Day brunch.

My body has a pear shape, my current size is 8 but the 6 fitted like a glove. The pictures doesn't do justice to this incredible dress, don't hesitate and rent it!
